SoG and SCRoG setup??

Hey guys and gals, first post here hoping to get a little insight on this to see if anyone else has been intuitive enough to try a set up like this.

I recently got a tent, 9x4x6.7 ft. And wanted to grow a set of plants from seed, and set up a SCRoG net at about 12 inches above the pot (an additional 12 inches) and connect it to a table in the center of those ~4 ish plants.

When you get around to trimming up your SCRoG plants and getting your net set up take those trimmings and use them as clones to set up on the table, preferably a 2x2x2 box/table and set up the SoG to veg in the last few weeks on the SCRoG. With SCRoG plants climbing to a second net another 12 or so inches above both canopy's they can flower together in a perfect canopy!

Anyone attempt anything like this? If so how did it work out?

If your going to do a scrog I would advise using the same strain, as things can get way out of control quick, and end up with a failure. Takes the grower to no the strains inside out.
As for sog will out produce the scrog, best to setup a diy drip system.
Your idea will work fine.
Little Sog plant example. clone rooted and put straight into 2L tall pots and flipped to 12/12 at 6inches, plant is now about 18inches in full flower.
Have a full scrog diary on here if your interest, will post link.

That is actually some solid and useful info and I would be super happy to read the diary. I am interested in the SoG method due to the heavy single cola's and their potency from small work spaces.

I mainly thought up the idea as a way to reuse trimmings and maximizing the appropriate space I had.

Should be some good info in that link for ya. I think ur better off using the cuttings and vegging them for your next cycle myself.
Everyone feel free to chim in, but I considered doing that but it seems like doing a seed/clone to harvest takes much longer and as a newbie I'm more leaning to seeds for now.

This was all just an idea to maximize space and experiment with the quality of cola's. I remember reading some stigma that main cola buds seemed to taste and be more potent than mids on the second and third cola's. Then again what do I know?

Clone to harvest is much quicker than seed to harvest.(you save about a month. Keep in mind seed to harvest in a soil grow is around 4 months) Your best bet is take cuttings and then switch the room to flower. 2 months later take the cuttings that have now had a month or more veg time, grab some cuttings and set them to flower. Keep repeating cycle and you have a harvest every 2 months.

The trouble with your table idea is that the plants already set up in the scrog will take over that space pretty quickly once they are vegging fast or in the stretch. The table will also inhibit air flow and may get in the way when your under the net doing trimming or maintenance.

You may be better off asking your question on the link I posted as more scrogers will see it.

So I've been racking my brain a lot these past 2 days about how I could change the process around to accommodate vegging the clones while other girls are in flower. Given the legality and circumstances I am afraid of using too much electricity and have settled on one 600w light.

Due to the singular light I don't think I have much of a way of getting into this whole vegging clones while flowering. Anyone got any ideas how I can make it work?
