SOG state of mind

i have a grow room set up and planted 2 test plants to make sure my entire set up is worked out perfectly, one plant sprouted and grew well while the other did not even sprout, so after the first week i gave up on the unsprouted one i planted a new seed, now it has sprouted and the other one is at a substantial height, will planting seeds a week apart result in a failed SOG experiment? i am a new grower, also i had my fan on the sprouted one because i read that it causes little tears that strengthens the stem but now its stem is curved, how do i fix this or will it fix itself like i have read?
