Soil and Hydro Grow

This is my first grow journal. I will do my best to update it as much as possible. Today i will be uploading just the soil half of this grow (Hydro to come this weekend).

Strain: 4 clones of Snow Dog from Medicine Man Denver


Soil: Empire Builder's Growers Mix and about 1/2 cup perlite layered when the 3 gal buckets were 1/2 and 3/4 full.


Nutrients: The basic line of Nectar for the Gods (i wont feed for another week or so)


Light: 400w MH for veg (more light to come later dont worry)
Grow Space: For now the clones are in a small 4x4 tent but soon the tent will be 8x8 with the hydro palnts. I will update pics of the tent after it is expanded.

The clones are about 3-4in tall and will be watered with tap water that has been sitting open for about 48hrs. There is of course an oscillating fan blowing gently over these ladies.



I will water every other day about 1/3 to 1/2 gal per pot. Thats about it for now. Stay tuned for the Hydro Setup!

As promised the Hydro section and pics of the newly redesigned tent (almost complete).

Strains: 3 Bubba Kush and 1 Power Kush
Nutrients: FoxFarm 3part hydro schedule
Medium: Aquarium Gravel in 3in net pots
Buckets: So as an experiment I have two plants in 3gal buckets and two plants in 5gal buckets


Air temp is at 80.3 but should go down when a new exhaust fan comes in later this week. pH is at 5.8 with no nutrients yet. The tent is now 7x8x8 and Im running one 400w MH and one 150w hps until a new 600w light comes in (hopefully with the fan). Clones look happy, small roots protruding from net pots and the soil plants are coming in nicely.

So while checking the net pots and air stones I snapped this pic of the roots. Pretty impressive for 24hrs of growth.

Started giving nutes to the soil ladies today. I will follow the feeding schedule on the Nector for the Gods website but i will skip straight to mid-flower strength.



The ladies in hydro are also looking good. I will change out the rez this weekend. All the girls have good root growth (although the power kush has less root growth and looks a little droopy)



Temps inside the tent have been a bit high 78-80 this shouldnt be a problem when a new can fan comes in the mail. Hopefully i will be updating pics of that installed later this weekend.
