Only thing I'll say it to amend it....Make sure you cycle it....and def. add perlite too it! Do those things and everything will stay green bro!
I'll be mixing my soil tonight or tomorrow, so feel free to hit me up as far as what I know
:joint:

*just got everything and am about to start mixing tonight
what kind of perlite ratio do you use? im a few cycles deep now.. i remember i sort of amended my FFOF soil for my first plant, and she seemed to do ok in the beginning.. i since have been struggling with my clones.. very dark purple thin stems are happening too often.. I picked up some Light Warrior yesterday, going to be taking cuttings tonight.. i guess i should start amending my soil today..

so you got nice green stems sprouting out? did you have a problem with burning before? and this helped fix it?

Never had a problem with FFOF burning my babies, but as for you question about perlite, add around 10-15 cups per 1.5 cf of FFOF.

Light warrior is good for seedlings and clones.

So do this do 2 parts LW to 1 part FFOF. Some plants are picky but that should fix your problem. Oh don't forget your perlite ;)

you hit my idea! or at least one of them, i just posted this on my thread today..

"picked up some FF Light Warrior..

im going to start amending my mixtures tonight as well..

i will be trying a few different mediums:

one will be 100% light warrior.

one will be 70% light warrior and 30% ocean forest...

one will be a mix of 60% light warrior, and the rest a mix of ocean forest with a splash of happy frog..

im thinking some perlite, or some sort of nuteless filler could also be added.."

I just transplanted--from plastic cups with 2/3 FFOF and 1/3 Perlite to 3 gallon pots with the same FFOF/Perlite mix. They look great. My sixth grow with FFOF. No complaints whatsoever.

what strain(s) are you growing?

"that raises a new question for me;
do burned leaves ever go back to fully green leaves if you've solved the probelm? or will they stay burned and you just have to look at new growth "

im not an expert by no means but from what iv read if they have necrosis they will not turn green again but you watch the new groth to make sure you have corrected the problem chlorosis on the other hand can be reversed. so it depends on how severe they have been burned and how long they have gone without treatment.

Right now, two Jock Horror fem from Nirvana, and two Northern Lights and two Skunkberry from PeakseedsBC.

i should have gone with ocean forest. using roots organic but just not really happy with the outcome. im new to growing so i listened to the guy at the grow shop like a dumbass, he said FFOF runs "way to hot" i prolly wouldnt have to be playing with all these extra nutes and being a noobie that would have eliminated alot of potential areas for error

I use the ffof but you have to start'em sunshine mix 4 in the cups for one week then I'll but in 1 gallon pots still using the sunshine mix 4 you'll to give'em some sensi grow first watering plain water then 250 ppms of grow and when you put in the 1 gallon pots I give'em 450 ppms of grow this is 6 ml grow and a little voodoo juice with the B-52 3 ml each this will take you to the 2nd week you should be ready for the ffof if you have 3 sets leaves. Use plain water the first two watering with the ffof one when you transplant and one about a week later they'll need nutrients before the 3rd watering you'll be drooping and rubbery looking and you can then feed 1000=1200 ppms first pic is right after transplant they really take off you'll only have to feed 1 more dose of veg nuts I usually veg 30-35 days using this method using 400 watters 3 of them :)
