Soil/sites

Hi, I was planning on growing and I was wondering what type of soil should I use? I am not going to use any nutes that you add to water. So should there be a good soil I can use?

I am also wondering which sites have you ordered from that shipped to the Southeastern USA and you never had any problems with. I was thinking along the lines of Drchronic.com and how well do they package their "stealth packages"?

I was also going to use CFL's throughout the grow. Does anyone know specifically what kind I should use? Like voltage and color and hot or cold or something like that? I read that there's alot of diff kinds of CFL and any help is appreciated.

Leon HI...

You should consider fox farm or black gold soils.. both are great soils..

If yo are on a budget... 43 watt CFLs are good... you will need abot 3 per plants... the key will be to FLOWER early..

for 2 reasons... -
1. the soil will provide enough nutrients for a short veg period.. without adding nutrients
2. cfls have horrible penetration and can not support large plants...

There is a book that walks you through EVERY SINGLE day of growing 3 plants under CFLS... How to grow marijuana - See More Buds - video DVD reviews

and NOW you KNOWM

"daylight" cfls for veg, "soft" or "warm" for flowering. As far as kits go, with a little investigating (as to exactly what the kits contained), I was able to buy all the components seperately for a lot less and taylor it a little to my needs. It is less of a hassle to just buy a kit though, if you can afford to. Here is a cheap one I found on ebay Hydroponics Grow Kit - (eBay item 130162639980 end time Oct-21-07 11:24:18 PDT)
