Did you still have no medium in the net pots you got? Maybe light is getting in threw them? Forgot about this thread glad you got them going hope you figure out the rot. I doubt that foam was a good thing.
The sponges just holds the stem in the pot at the top of the cup.No light in getting in i got plates on the top of the cups. Ya that foam turned into white mold that settle on the roots and the sides and the bottom if the rez?when i got the temps down to 62. Ppm and ph kept raising so i change out rez. got a new Coleman cooler from walmart to help with the rez temps, hope it helps?

update:

new coleman cooler 28quart
4 gallons of r/o water ph'd 6.0
hydroyzem 40 mill
superthrive 4 drops
greenfuse 3 tsp
ff grow 4 tsp
ff bloom 2 tbs
40 mill h2o2
rez temp 69
outside temp 85
ppm 720

looks like i got one female perflowers on one others look like male,to early to tell on the others ,so ill wait until i know for sure!

roots still dont look so good but there growing:fire:

Read the entire thread.. you had alot of trouble, but dont we all? anyway i love to see this type of grow, growing on a budget.. But i am curious, i know u had some u left in the soil how are those doing compared to the ones in the bubble setup?

size, sex, etc compared.

Im still on the fence about switching from soil to bubbleponics, Seems all the stress on the bubblers made them mostly male?

Ya have alot of problems! thinking it was my city water had some bad bugs in it?Started to use GH Subculture bb in my water is seems to do the trick. After the roots came back they just exploded, like 3 inches in 2 days, and the fan leafs popped like magic. For the Soil ones there is one female i know of(perflowers) but cant tell on the other one? the soil ones are supercroped and much bigger.Well if i didnt have the rot the bubbles would be alot bigger then the soil.Only 3 days into flower:weed:They were stunned for about 4 week total,if they didnt get the rot i would not have had room for them:shock:

Ya i wouldnt do the soil to bubbles again!i just start them in the wool!

Well its 15days into flower, lost 3 to being male :-( Got one female left in dwc:weed: everything is looking good! She looks skinny due to the rot problems i had early in this grow:sad:. But i know now how to keep the conditions right for my next grow in dwc. I got two females in soil looking good also:weed: ,the one i supercroped is a monster!Cant keep her watered lol, the other one has leaf spotting problems, any advice would help?Thinking high ph will flush tonight with 6.0 ph water.

Anyone using ff trio?every time i change rez looks like the nutes are collecting on the bottom?,is that normal?

info: just changed to flower nutes
DWC 5.9ph
rez temp 64f
lights 12/12
ff nutes 1200ppm

Soil ph 6.5+
ff nutes 1300ppm
lights 12/12

when I first started reading your thread my first thoughts were that you were going to have problems with your nutrients and keeping your pH correct. Both due to not having a proper store to get what you need from. You've done pretty well, but you have come across quite a few problems, the worst of which is the root rot. I don't know if it's due to light getting through, or the type of nutes you're using, but I feel for you either way. Good luck to you is all I can say. I hope the flowering goes well.
