Are there any basic soil mixtures that are consistently good?

i jus use the miracle grow moisture control potting mix and dont care wat ppl say it works soil is 18-10-10

yes it works but u cant flush it and it also makes it extremly easy to over fertalize so guess what theres gonna be salts in ur bud makin harsher and burn unevenly. i kno cause i used it but i started mixing my own it works much better if u mix peat moss with compost as a base then mix in bark/charcoal and perlite it wont cost alot i promise and it wont weigh down on the roots of your plants like most miracle gro soils start to around the middle of your flower cycle

Okay cool thanks. IS that just normal charcoal that you'd sue for a grill?

fox farm! potting mix cause it already has the powerful root stimulators mycorrhizae fungi and humic acid etc..if you do the oceans fox farm you should get the light warrior fox farm to mix with it for all the stimulates. You will notice that the potting mix is a bit more fluffy it be good to use.. Buying all the fox farm orgranic ferts is pretty cheap too and last you awhile

i just use cheap soil from wallyworld...

works fine for me.
