Some Advice Please!!

I am about to embark on my first grow. I have experience in growing plants and I study a lot about plants in school, my primary focus being Horticulture. So to say the least I am not intimidated by what I am trying to do. However I would like to consider myself to be humble and not to proud to ask for help in advice.

I will be using a 60 site aeroponic system, hydroton as a medium, 2x600 watt hps lights. I am indoor but have plenty of space to go vertical if needed.

I would like to hear if anyone has suggestions on what strain I should go with...I was thinking of going with Granddaddy Purple, Purple Urkle, Purple Kush, Skunk 1 or possibly ChemDog...

I would like to try and yield a fairly good amount so if anyone out there has any advice, it will be deeply appreciated...Let me know even if its another strain...or a combination of those above...thanks

Go with a MH for vegging, and HPS for flowering, If you want max yeild: Do a perpetual, Hydroponic, supercrop grow.
I.E have 3 rooms, one for Clones, one for veg, and one for flowering.
And move plants from clones to veg, take clones from the veg and put in clones then move veg to flowering and have plants in different stages of flowering so you can harvest every 2-3 weeks. 1000w HPS for flower room, 600w or so MH for veg, and 400w MH OR CFL setup for cloning. Try this one for size: White Rhino, Purple Kush, Banana Chem Dog, Sour Diesel. Gaurunteed to have best fire in town if you use good flushing and curing techniques.

All the strain's you mention i have never done apart from chemdog,the one rule that i would say is if you are thinking of doing a grow keep to the same strain.Over wise you can run into all kind of problem's more so in a aeroponic sytem because the plant site's are normaly situated close to each other.I would set one strain going and tek clone's from her or them to full all the sites.I have done aeroponic's many time's and always go bk to soil allthough areoponic's is the best hydroponic sytem on the market.If you have the seed's or a clone supplyer all ready sorted then go with them if not try ak47/48 or blueberry and jackherer.good luck in the grow and use advanced sensi pro veg and bloom no matter what anyone says nothing will compete with advanced when it come's to yeild.There are alot of haters of advanced but if they hate advanced they either have not used it right or a even funnyer explanation is they have never used it,you will suprissed on how many haters of these nutes have never used em.Check out see more bud's on you tube could be a great tool if you need any advice they do aeroponic all way through there 3 dvd's.There is no reason to use mh lighting for vegging h.p.s will out grow mh in any grow room the mh is a bit better for vegging but not worth messing around with two differant light's..........tyke...........................

I was kind going that route, I have my flower room and I also have a room for my mother plants and cuttings...I was going to move from one room to the other...the flowering room 12/12 lighting and the clone/mama room 18/6 with atleast 1 t5 if not 2...I also have a 5x8ft room for curing...my supplier for materials and lighting said that the bulbs on my lights can change between mh and hps...not sure how reliable this info is though?...I was wondering if I should germ my own seeds or go with clones from another grower (I know a few) but with bringing clones into my room I may inherit any pest or disease, from the grower...if they have these problems...

Whats your take on this?

I'm currently growing G13 Haze, and Blue cheese. But the last lot i grew was, Ak 48 and white shark in 85cm pots. The White shark grew 1.5m under 1X400w in 1m square 2m Height tent. The Ak48 grew 1m under the same condition in another tent. White shark yield 1.2 pounds after curing for 4 weeks, Ak48 yield 0.8 pound after 4 weeks curing.
Got 8 seeds of the WS and 6 AK's. Don't forget to check your buds for them.

I have grew the G13 ones, now they can yield. They be better if you SCROG this verities. Never. So thats what I grew this year.
