I dunno if i'm being overly cautious but i've noticed some marks appearing on my plants. I wonder if anyone could tell me what they are? whats causing it? and if there is anything to worry about?. If you can see in the first pic on the right leaf about half way down on the right hand side (on the tip) on the left leaf on the left handside a bit further down. On the second pic right hand side on the right leaf near the bottom. They look like the colour of petrol (a rainbowy oil colour) Is this something to worry about. I water the plants twice a week but a good doseage of water. I haven't started using nutes yet. The room is pretty well ventilated but a nice temp. Please help.

I really don't want to lose my plants. Maybe I'm just worrying over nothing

Your suffering from first time growers psychosis. It manifests itself by making you check your plants multiple times per day and to worry about ANY change at all, also causes you to try and sex the plant weeks before it shows and causes you to over water and over fertilize.

Hahaha, in other words "chill the fuck out". Just some advise how often should I be watering and how much? and when would you suggest I start giving nutes. Thanks

I'd start feeding them now but at 1/4 strength. I just use soluble 20/20/20 I bought from Wal Mart.

I'd trade that 20 weight fertilizer in for a balanced, all-purpose type. Veg needs higher nitrogen (1st #)

Yeah you can start them on very low dose of fertilizer 1/8-1/4 recommended amount. If you have a 1 gallon pot they are in now, you will be transplanting to a 3 gallon pot shortly. You will have to figure out your own watering schedule according to the plant. Lift the pot when the soil is really really dry, dry enough to make the plant start wilting and feel how heavy it is, now saturate all soil with water til it starts coming out the bottom. re water when pot is really lightweight again.

I'm not too sure how big my pot is but i'm having a guess at around 3 gallons. It's 12.5' diameter and pretty deep. So basically leave the plant to wilt then water it til it comes through the bottom. Simple, but in regards to feeding do I only feed the plant every time it needs watering?

letting your plants get that dry is too risky, 'specially with chemical fertilizers. Get yourself one of those moisture meters and probe the soil ball with it. When the meter reads caution or 30 % or that zone then you should water. I always water heavily first to flush out the residual fertilizer. I feed every time I water except the last weeks of flowering.

Your only letting it get to the wilt stage 1 time, just so you can gauge the weight of a bone dry pot, you would be surprised how light it is.

You should never fertilize more than once every other watering. in other words water....water/fert...water.....water/fert. so depending on volume of soil and size of plant you may only fertilize 1 or 2 times in a month, or as much as 4 times.
