Some newb questions.......

thats a preety big tote. 35 gallons?? i only have an 8 gal tub which is a lil small but it is really easy to do res change. and i like to do those as often as possible. i would consider getting a smaller tote. maybe a 16 gal. im doing 5 plants in my 8 gal. and it is a lil crowded but i like the garden

Yessir, ..Im changing to a 16-18 gal today. I figure 8 plants, so...about 14-16 gal of water should be good. Im doing that, and starting nutes, today.

seems to me people have better luck doing their first grow in soil.

i did my first real grow in hydro drip system and did well but I've moved to soil

ive done dwc and had to many problems if you want to use a tub aeroponics is the way to go IMO

how old are they do you have any recent pics. plants can survive with no nutes till they get a fairly decent size. you dont want to over do it

bubbleponics is def the way to go. it is pretty simple
