I will start with the sour bubble at 8wks, diablo at 8.5 and the rest will be at 9 or as i get to them. It is off the hook. :-). I am really happy getting this system all dialed in. If i can get motivated i will get my freezer up and running by the time this round finishes. :-).

Any of you guys know how to drag and drop pictures from the manage attachments on a smart phone? This site can be tough to use on a mobile. :-(.

These were taken last night at 29days. Not too bad IMO. :-) As things get dialed in I think it will get better and better in this cabinet. Gonna look at the Home depot this week for a fan for the freezer project. I figure I should be all done with this round by Feb 10th or so.

Shot of the whole Flower Chamber:

Shots of the Left side. Diablo up front and the pre-98 bubba behind. Sour Bubble is in front of the A/C.

Shots of the Right side. Ak-47 up front and Blue Dream behind it.

The Sour Bubble plant. This one flowers quick so it is ahead of the others. This one is really done at 7wks but I go to about 7.5 with it. The Diablo finishes quick too. Last time for both of them.

This is the veg chamber. I have clones of the Ak-47, Blue Dream, and pre98 bubba. Only one clone is kind of having trouble sprouting new veg. It will take though. The rest are rocking. Also! The Breeders Boutique gear looks great. growing very healthy can tell the difference between the ED and DP just by leaf. Hope we get a girl of each Jig!!

Thanks for hanging out and watching. :-)

Damn week 5 coming up already. Looks massive in there, you got some really great vert coverage this round. Looking forward to seeing that AK again, she looked amazing last round.

Are you running the BB gear along side the 3 strains you are keeping next round or are you still planning a second setup?

Stone,

Yea! Saturday is week five. It moves so fast these days... LOL The AK is big... and it is some bad ass smoke. I think it was mine and Jigs favorite of what I grew last time. I am planning a second setup. Not sure if I can do it till next month. This cabinets next round will probably be 2x ak, 2x Blue dream, 1x pre98 bubba. Hopefully I can get the other space setup quickly next month and have that ready to go for the BB gear.

Plan for the BB gear:

I am going to start training soon to get little bushes. Then I will wait for them to show sex in veg (this just takes some patience). I will take clones of all the females and label. Then I will flower out moms in the new space. Its a good plan even if I just get one female but its a flexible enough of one that if I get six I wont freak out...LOL This way we can pick a winner if we have more than one F of each type. With the whole cloning process... Jig will get some of those to fill his close too.

IF its all not ready for that point by feb. we will work on something else for jig to fill it up with in the interim.. :-)

IF i get a male... well... we will see. MUHAHAHAHA LOL! Some BB gear mixed with AK I got might be pretty good

I need to try me some AK one of these days. That reminds me, I have some green crack somewhere I need to try. Maybe after I smoke the crusty buds :)

OK... I am breaking down on here and just gonna write it down. Ive been asked about drying-curing etc... I figure like it or not this is what I do to it and I like it this way....LOL So... even though "I'm doing it wrong" I already know. ;-)

Pre-Harvest:
-Prior to harvest I use a flushing agent called final phase from AN. I use it once, at the recommended dosage, 3-7 days before I am going to cut. I make sure I have watered once after the dosing with plain water before harvest. Love or hate AN.. I use some of their stuff... whatever...lol. Ive grown well with miracle grow before too...

-I look at trichomes but do not rely on them solely. There is a point where the calyx closes off around the pistil and you will see a lot more flesh than fur. Then shortly there after the bud will take on a different color and appearance.

-Some times you will never see the trichomes go amber... Cloudy is good enough if they have the appearance mentioned above. **note I did not say watch the hairs! its all about the calyx closing off and swelling up around the pistil. Once they hit a certain point you see diminishing returns.**

**A completely dark room for 3-5 days can help ripen. Also a reduced lighting schedule, but no less than 8hrs lights on can help also. For me reducing the light schedule is a last resort to force-finish.**

Harvest:
-I manicure wet and cut buds away from stems
-I dry in a room temp bud dryer (its like ALBFUCTS except of no heating element)
-I dry in this from 2-4 days. I am looking for the outside to be crispy and the stem to be wet and bendy
-They go in paper bags for a few days so the moisture redistributes.
**sometimes I am back and forth every few days with these methods. The paper bags slow the drying down.**
-I dry for no more than about 7/8 days! I feel that if the correct moisture level isnt reached within that time the chance for mold and bud turning brown increases.

So what do I do if its not really ready for a jar?

-I use a dehydrator at 90-95 d for 2-4hrs or until the outside of the bud is a little crispy and the stems bend still but are close to breaking when you do it. I know! I know! But hear me out... The small amount of heat decarbs the buds just a little bit and turns some of the THCa into Thc and the thc into cbd. Much like naturally aged bud does.

-I am not a boveda user but I believe the best use for those is long-term storage once you have already regularly cured. Keeping the perfect RH in the jar would keep it in stasis indefinitely it would seem.

-Its usually 2-3 weeks after going into the jar that things are spot on. Although I find it usable once dry. :-)

Ive been doing it this way now for years and it seems to work fine. I do not always use a dehydrator in the regime. Some times of year its 100+ out and im fighting to slow down the drying to 7/8days. Bud dried too quickly is harsh and bud dried too slowly always smells like hay. Its all about baby bear..... Just right.......LOL

Today is the end of 5 weeks! I will take pictures tonight. Its looking really good. I looked back and all the buds look on par w the last grow. Ive had more humidity than normal. Started using damprid and it helps keep it below 50%.

Such a nice wall of buds! How long does that strain take??
its 5 different ones in there! :-). Harvest starts just before 8weeks and they should all be chopped shortly after 9 weeks. I have a 100$ next month to get my second space up and going! Woot. :-)

I think I want to get some Sensi Skunk seeds. Another breeder has Afghani and Hindu Kush IBLs. I want to try working with some of those genetics too.
