Someone want to help me FIM?

Hey guys I have read the FAQS about using the FIM technique, so mogie dont post it : ). But I still am not quite sure how to do this. I have a seedling, that I will post pictures of tomorow, it is.. about 8 inches tall, really healthy, with about 10 leaves on it. It is currently in the ground, but I am going to transplant it, and then FIM, but I am not really sure how to FIM, so if someone could just make it simple for me, that would be awesome. Also I plan on using Superthrive to prevent transplant shock, has anyone ever used this stuff? and if so, how were the results, and how did you use it?

P.s I have infinite room to grow, because im growing outdoors, and in a place where I have no height restrictions, do you guys think I should use the FIM technique under these conditions? or just let it grow?

If I could do outdoors I would let it grow, let it grow, let it grow. I don't have any idea about the fimming though. I too am waiting to hear answers

I did fim and got 3. It was awsome. Instead of topping the steam I topped in the growth close to the steam. I think there was a picture to show this. I was suprised it worked.

There are 2 sides to most things. Do at least 1 fim and decide for your self.

So you didnt FIM the the main stem? your fimed a branch? thats cool, and it worked?

I'm not 100% crystal on this, but I have read a great deal on it. Where your plant "top" is, clip off most of the vegetation but leave a little intact. Almost as if you were going to do a normal topping where you clip the main stem just below the tender new growth, but just a smidge above that.

Can someone verify this as I'm going to FIM 8 plants on my next batch?

to do what exactly? wouldn't this just cause it to regrow the cut portion, or die and fall off?

I don't remeber the post. It just stuck in my mind. It was in one of those debates of removing fan leaves. I think.

I like trying different things. Talk is nice then I want to try it.

that post was regarding disguising your grow to make it less obvious. It'll probably stress your plants a LOT and serve no beneficial results.

I used isohunt and downloaded 250 gb of stuff and most of it was pot related.

There is no telling where I got it. I'll look again.

I know longer want to try that.

I'm by no means an expert at growing mj, but I did have 7 years horticulture classes working in a green house, 3 years job experience in a green house, and I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

When you cut the leaves like that, you are severing it's water/nutrient delivery system (veins). The plant has to heal these areas and that takes energy; energy that could have gone into something else. This is what happens when you top a plant. It slows down a bit before taking off again. If you were concerned about security outdoors and wanted to make your plant less obvious, then maybe it would be worth it.

haha thanks mogie, well Iv been reading more and I decieded im just going to let it grow, I took some pictures of the new seedling, but I deleted them before I posted them up here : ( lol yeh im an idiot sorry, ill get new ones tomorow, but Im deff going to have to transplant it, its getting pretty obvious where it is : (
