Something WIERD happened to this bud

So im nearing the end of harvest, and a tiny bud (maybe just under a gram) has the beautiful amber tinge to it(the first bud to have the amber color strong)
As i touched it, I noticed it was really dry... so i cut it off! The bud is completely dry and looks like its ready to smoke.. Is my plant rewarding me, with this fine piece of already dry bud or whats goin on hahaah

I guess it's possible that the stem to that particular bud quit taking in water? Maybe that branch died like a large fan leaf does time to time. Either way it sounds like your girl loves you

m8 its not bud rot is it? when u pulled the bud off did the stem seem fluffy or moist at all,, rot starts on the inside and will dry ya buds out to crispy but only in bits at first, it also gives th ebuds that cured look.. yank a few shade leaves around the buds if they come off real easy look closer, i hope its not mate but u need to check,, some pics will help

Ya I guess that particular node halted nutrient transfer and finished early. Lucky you! You get a nice taste test before chop-chop!

Interesting.. I didn't know this. I guess I'm lucky enough to have never experienced this. Now I know +rep!

yeah i learned the hard way its a biatch was sat there looking at the bud and seen that golden sheen on one section looking like cured bud,,, the rest is history, cheers 4 the rep if there is ne way i can help stp someone experiencing the same fate i will try

All the other buds look fine, and i smoked some of this and its straight fire im blitzed outta ma mind haha
can u direct me to any threads about bud rot? i couldnt find any in plant problems or harvesting sections

search botrysis, if u had it u wud know, the smell is slightly diff frm rest of plant, and when u pull nugs off there is a brown colour where it was attached to the stem, in bad cases a web as well..

oh ok i dont have it then lol just one bud givin me some heaven to smoke haha
