Soul Synthetics is a Misnomer?

Soul Synthetics is made by the same folks who make Roots but is designed to be more soluble for use in hydroponic systems. It also has added mineral salts (standard hydroponic nutrients) for that extra boost. These mineral salts are "inorganic" - - - no carbon atom. They also add stuff like bamboo extract in place of silica and so on.

I went to a hydroponic store recently with a staff of ten guys and none of them knew Soul Synthetics was full of bat guano, kelp, worm castings, the list goes on. The one guy claimed he had used it before but said he thought it was all synthetic. It comes out brown and opaque, dude. WTF?

I'm curious how many people were under the impression this line was entirely synthetic.

I didn't know Botanicare had made a similar line. Have you heard anything about it yet?

I hope Botanicare doesn't make the same mistake in naming their product!

thats pretty f'd.. makes me wonder how he survives in the industry.. prolly skating along just carrying whatever people talk about most at the time?? lol

if you arent going to know what you sell. go sit back in the office and do some paperwork, and get me someone who knows what the fk hes talking about.
i generally dont ask questions at my hydro store, unless its one of the workers. he grows too, and knows what hes talking about. ive seen his room.

There are people who work at grow shops who really know what they are talking about but that is often not the case. So, not to stray from the topic of my own thread, but, how do you tell when a hydroponic store employee is a real gardener or not? I'm trying to think of some specific questions you could ask to find out who is legit and who is full of shit!

i straight up ask them if they use a product im going to try.

or if you run co2, ask them where to fill it up.

Or ask them how to use a product you're going to try. See how in depth they can get. If they look at the back of the bottle and read you the full strength recommendation, they're full of shit.

How about asking them what they use themselves - - - that could be good...
