Any idea when the latest dates are to plant outside? I always here as long as it is after the last frost but, is there a point when it is to late? Would April-May still be ok?

Last frost is the word, best to ask at your local garden store, with regard to tomatoes, fruits or even Mj ...lol to get your micro climate understood ...?

Yes there is a date that each strain will begin to flower. If you plant a seedling late enough in the season then it sometimes will get pushed back a bit. In SoCal you have the luxury of an extremely long season. I am from SD and we rarely get a good enough frost to kill outdoor plants. You usually just don't really want to plant much before 4/20, this year because it has been so hot you could probably get away with it though.

Late would be after summer solstice, around June 22 or what ever it is this year. Seeds are good to go about late April if sowed in ground outside. I wouldn't put clones outside without supplemental lighting if they came off 18/6 until mid May or the end of and you still might need supplemental light for a bit. Most strains will start to flower August to mid august.

summer solstice is 21st the longest daylight hours of the year, you still have all of july to vegg.

I have 3 greenhouses that I bought from Amazon . 20 ft x 10 ft x7 feet ( They are curved roofed ) cost me 200 bucks per ! I sprouted seeds and vegged indoors for 4 weeks and put them out IN the ground backfilled with 420 soil ! Feb 3rd-10th ( GSC and Headband ) ! I'll be harvesting in 3 weeks ! I use indonesian bat guano , molasses and seaweed extract for nutes. I'm covering the green house to keep the light at 12 hrs ! Today I just started a second batch ( for # 2 greenhouse ) from indoors and got 4 in the ground today out of 25 that are just waiting to go in the ground ! I have 30 sprouts that are going into 4 inch pots and will go in the ground in 5 weeks . I'm in SoCal and pretty much grow 8 months a year. The GHs are so much easier than when I flowered indoors !
