okay, the shit is about to begin, the clones are ready for me but I wanted to ask a few specific questions before I go and get them.

1. I have a 1k hps.... I will be putting the clones straight into 5 gal. buckets so, how far should this powerful light be from these little babies???

2. In these large buckets should I only water around the stem? or throughout the entire soil? and how much since they are still very small?? or just mist them for now??

3. last one... when should I start the fertilizing? when they are a certain size?? or when they are a certain age?? (using peters jacks classic)

Man, I really cant wait to begin this process... sorry if I ask to much Im just trying to get as much info. as possible... I really do not want to fuck things up ya know??

thanks in advance to anyone who answers these questions!! this site has been nothing but a pleasure to be involved with!!!

1) I would say put the light about 3 feet away at first. See how thay do If they start to take to the light then the next day drop it a few inches until your about 18-24". I have mine at 12" but its on a mover so its ok.

2) Once you transplant into these buckets you are going to need to water them in. Water atleast until you have water coming out your drain holes you put in your buckets. At first the plant will only pull water out of the top of the soil since its roots havent made it to the bottom. So I would wait atleast 1 week before I watered again and If you have a meter stick it in where the roots should be and see how dry that area is. At first you will have to make sure it stays moist. After 2 weeks you will prolly have roots all over the pot if you didnt over water. Then you can start to learn the plants drinking habbits.

3) I wouldnt fertilize for atleast 3-4 weeks. You prolly wont need it. You could start with 1/4 strength about week 2-3 and go up every week from there. Im assuming you ar going to let these get pretty big?
