Speeding it up a little

Just a general question cause it seems as though my plants are growing as fast, I'm thinking its the lack of enough light but its coming onto day 7 and my seedlings are just barely starting grow their 3rd pair of leaves (including cotelydons). What would be a way to gety them to grow faster or am I doing just fine?

that sounds like normal growth
what light(s) are you using?
you don't really want any hot lights on seedlings
CFL's don't give off much heat so you could use one or two of those

i have 2 CFls, one like 2 inches directly over the middle of 9 seedlings and then a lamp reflectorr aiming right at them with a fan on low blwoing on them to try and strengthen the stems a little

sounds fine for right now, but you are going to need a lot more light in 3 weeks or so
good job with the fan - that is really important
keep the lights close to minimize stretching
i'd figure 80-100 watts per plant for a decent grow

This is everythin I'm using (restated)
1x 75w cfl w reflector
1x 100 cfl
mg potting soil
And I checked he plants last night with the fan on low for a few hours and sone of then we re just looking sad haha. Even if there bent over a little cAuse of the fan is that okay? Will they just build here strength up or was that a failure with the fan
