Speeding Ticket, Canada.

So i recently got a speeding ticket going 95km/hr through a 60 zone in my city. Not really a big deal, but i think i can fight it seeing as i asked the cop if i could see the radar gun, or proof i was going that fast and he told me i wasn't permitted near his car and he didn't have to show me by law. Now i was probably going around there, but seeing as he couldn't prove to me right there i was can't i go to traffic court and possibly get off? Also this officer was alone in a ghost car so their was no parter to back him up? Thanks for reading. :joint:

Unless you can pull off something of proportion to Ricky, they will take the word of the officer over yours.

Try to get out of it! I just mobbed to Canada for a part. Crazy fuckers tried to get me drunk before I went back over the border! Wasn't trying to do that lol I'm 20 on 3 yrs probation here in the states. Was it the mountys?

No it was a city cop, lol i think he was a narc or something because he was in a ghost car, like 25-30 years old and alone, idunno thats just my opinion but i think im going to try and get out of it anyways. Btw the ricky comment made me laugh :D

Haha yeah, most of the time the cops here don't even bother going to traffic court and if i was right and he was a narc officer he prob wont show up and it will be written off. Hopeful thinking but oh well :D

You won't win, the Cops aren't required to show you proof of your speeding. The court assumes the police are telling the truth.
In Ohio they don't even need radar/lidar guns, the police can just guess your speed and issue a ticket and the state supreme court will back them up.

I wouldn't waist my time, He has a radar... all vehicles have radars. Just because the car was unmarked means nothing either. Cops just don't pull people over for no reason at all. I say if anything they would lower it drop the demerit point and tell you not to contradict a officer.

My advice would be just to take the ticket and shut up, If he pulls you over again he'll remember you. Unless you live in something like Winnipeg or Toronto, big city ya know.

Where do you reside? I am a local.

Probably just go with the ticket. And slow the fuck down, you think your tough or even smart for that matter.

Peace
