Spend my $$$$ 3x3 With CO2

Running a 3x3 in a sealed room with co2.

Currently using a 600 watt HPS but looking for more lumens to take advantage of co2 and instead of trying to cram a 1000 watt air cooled I'd prefer to go LED

Help me fill my cart please

How many COB 3590's and what bin?

What meanwell drivers should I pick up?

How many heat sinks 5.88x30" times two?

What cob holders?

Any lenses?

What kind of thermal product?

2 30" sinks will run probably 3 active cooled or 2 passive.

A 9 cob @38w = 342w/9sqft = 38w per sqft.
1 HLG-120H-C1050 - 4 cobs
1 HLG-185H-C1050 - 5 cobs

No dimming needed. Just run 4 cobs for veg and 9 for bloom :) Save money and time. Less heat, less cobs, less heatsink, less power required. Just a thought.

Bonjour
How many gpw do you pull fom a 3x3 with a 600hps and CO2?
It is a factor to take in consideration!
The number of watt depend on it too!
But since it look like you like overkill setup you better go with 9 cxb3590 3500ºk 36V CD @1400mA so 450w to stay close to your 600hps (above...!)

I ran a 1000w hps in a 3x3 for me this winter and it worked awesome.

A 600w hps would be awesome. Or maybe a 600w with some LED supplimental lighting?

I guess that reflects somewhat on the inefficiency of hps. If you put 1000w of cob light in a 3'x3' your plants would warp into another dimension.
The beauty of a cob system is it's ability to deliver tons of photons without dispersing a ton of heat. Why would he ruin that by adding an hps lamp into the mix?

What you call "working awesome"?
My cxb work awesome...I pulled 1.2gpw instead of 0.7/0.8gpw with my 600hps...so yes 30% more weight just by changing the light source is amazing!(and I can do better...maybe 1.4/1.5gpw in soil!)

Which light are you using? Can you link me to it? Is it one of the cxb custom built or is it a full fixture?

And my 3x3 yielded me 19oz. Obviously not the best efficiency GPW but i'm happy with 19oz from a 3x3. My "working awesome" clause was mostly regarding the fact that i've been lucky enough to keep that tent like 69f

I have 2x LEC315 in my 5x5 for hydro and i've found thats not quite enough light so i'm very interested in throwing in some LEDs. I'm looking at dropping maybe up to $800 for some lights, or i might just be lazy and throw another 600w hps in there.

I've been looking into the CXB custom builds and they seem pretty awesome

I have cxb3590 on an hlg-185-1400b diy
I used 600hps for more than a decade an yes it WAS a good light!
But now it is over and cob have it all...less heat more weight and very good quality...what else??
You should go on YouTube and watch Growmau5 and green gene garden vids it will tell you everything you need to know about cob! (Veeery instructive!)

Thank you for the info I appreciate it!

I don't need the light for about 5 weeks so that gives me plenty of time to figure out what I need, how to put it together, and to get all of my lights ordered.

I have a 4 foot T-5 in my 2x4 veg tent (vegging slow is actually convenient for me). Never the less i'll likely end up making a CXB light for my veg tent

Youll have fun figuring it out and putting it together. Once you get it dialed in things are super rewarding.

I never used hid but i built a pair of 3590 panels that work great. I learned a ton and saved $$. All the know how i gleaned from riu'ers

Exciting times ahead

You never tried hid?
So you started with cob...cxb 3590!
Lucky guy...so you started with big gpw for your first grow I bet!
I know a few other like you...one even pulled 1.2gpw for his first grow...crazy!
Gpw was almost a dream few years ago...now it is cob average!
Have a great day ★

My first indoor grow I used a Mars Hydro 900. I grew a few decent batches with it. But as been stated over and over COBS outperform Mars by light years!
