Spider Mite Treatment Question.

So quick question, I'm pretty knowledgable and do my reading along with experience but I am open to any thoughtful input. A few weeks ago I had a spider mite infestation that I caught early enough. It was my first pest problem so I treated it. I think I may have not watered down my solution enough or didn't rinse if off good enough. Long story short, pests are gone but a portion of leafs suffered. Some fell off and some just yellowed out. I don't pull them unless they are pretty much falling off. A friend of mine with a knowledgable background said my yield shouldn't suffer to much but will prolly set me back a few weeks. I agree for the most part but I'm curious to what other people may think. Any words of wisdom?
