Spider Mites Durring Flowering

I just found some spider mites on my lower leaves a few days ago. I am 3 weeks into flowering and I have never dealt with a pest problem before although I have done some research I still have no hands on experience with them.

I am reasarching on several products in the market that you can apply durring flowering. I am leaning towards SMC, Fox Farm Dont Bug Me, Pyrethrum bombs and liquid lady bug. I would also like to put maybe like 500 ladybugs. I have also read about HotShot pest strips but ppl have different input about this product durring flowering and overall. Would it be safe to put one of these in my tent this far into flowering?? Should I put the lady bugs before of after applying the pesticide products??

I am running 2 x 1000 HPS cooltubes with a Phresh filter and a ecoline 6 inch inlne fan supreme in a 10 x 5 growlab. I am also cooling the room with an LG 9,000 BTU portable AC. Thanks to my AC the problem has not become so serious due to the cold temps it takes longer for mites to develope and lay eggs. I know this is a fact because my plants in veg are becoming infested by the mites due to the higher temps my plants in flowering dont really have to many but my bottom leaves are starting to die and have those littles specs on them due tro these f**kers damaging my plant cells sucking em dry.

Please help me out b4 they take over my garden. I wanna hear from ppl with past experience. Thanks in advance.

Had mites before, they will kill your entire crop unchecked. Some fogger and a shit load of mite predators is what you need. If your experienced enough you could also wash your plants leaf by leaf.

myself i like neem oil i spray that till week 5 never had much luck with prediters but ive been hearing lots of good things about advanced x factor

Thanks guys.

Drew I actually was thinking about the predator mites as well and the cool thing about them is that they will just eat each other after they eat the mites. Not so much of a mess like 500 ladybugs to clean up.

Scotty i am trying to keep away from oils on my buds thats why i was leaning more towards the fogger and ladybugs. But I am going to do some more research on the neem oil durring flowering.

What about tabacco tea?? Anyone have experience with it? I read a thread here by Flo where Seamaiden gives him the recipe to it and it was a success. He said to have tried all different things and this is the only that worked for him. Although I am wondering if the bud hada weird tabacco taste one dried and cured.

Most recent update. OK so today i start looking at all my plants and I find what seems to be thrips not spider mites. Hopefully its just thrips. I saw what appeared to be eggs at first under the leaf and that little speckled discolration damage they do but these leaves had black specs on then. With further research I fing out that its poop from the thrips and I have started to notice alot of them on the top of the lower leaves. They say Im lucky to have thrips and not spider mites. I went and purchased and cheap insecticide the ecosmart organic says its save to apply up to the day of harvest like most do. I wouldnt push it but it is said to be effective just smells realy strong.

ECOSMART organic insecticide, ingredients below:

A cheaper more fun way to go is to catch a lot of lady bugs and put them on your plant there like soldiers they will have the mite problem solved in a few hours

I dont think i have any spider mites. I noticed alot of thrips on the leaves now that before where on tghe bottom of the leaves. I am confirming now that I have indetified the insect they are thrips not spider mites. Have ladybugs worked for anyone on thrips??

Why would you say that? I know I would have to turn off ventilation, filters, fans but I think they should be able to do well. Again I have never used them so maybe you can tell me why you believe that.

Just tried this product I read is good and the guy at the hydro store swears by this stuff its 100% organic its called Sucrashield. Its made from sugars from the tabacco leaf and some other ingredients. Anyone have any experience with this stuff?? Is it safe to use durring flowering??

I will let u know how we look tomorrow morning.

I just eradicated my thrips. I tried ladybugs but then researched that they don't eat thrips so if you want to go natural I'd suggest ordering predator mites, though I have not tried them. After looking into it a bit I got a couple of those hot shot pest strip thingsand put one in flower and one in veg. The next day ALL bugs were dead, the ladybugs visibly and I couldn't find any thips. I run a perpetual grow and have since harvested and cured a couple plants and they seem fine to me and everyone I know. Also haven't seen any thrips or other bugs.

Just like that the next day they were dead? Damn I got one of the NPS ive just been skeptical about using them. So I shut down all ventilation, ac, inline, and fans? I will put them on over night leave em for 12 hrs till the lights turn back on otherwise they will be burning up in there.
