Spider mites first time

Never had spider mites. Never thought i would. Well i noticed a dot on a leaf today. Upon inspection there there! Now i looked everywhere and there localized at this point. Luckily i had azamax on hand and neem. I sprayed my veg very heavily. But i only seem them in my flower room on one table. Im on day 40. Nothing to be proud of, just flowered out my old moms but getting ready for a much nicer run.
N honestly Im scared to spray my flowers. So i was thinking ill just let it go for two more weeks. Harvest and then i can clean the room and dip all my girls. This sound crazy? Just ignoring them. What else can i do? Spray the neem? By time i order lady bugs n get em ill be harvesting. What else can i do???????

nooooooo, 2 more weeks and you will have webs all over your bud. never had them during flowering so not sure what you should use at this point. anybody?

There localized to one table, or so it seems... i only found a tiny bit of web on a few fan leaves over a few plants. I read they reproduce every 5-20 days depending on temp. So my ac is blasting. Iights are on and its 65*. Only other thing i can do is spray them or get lady bugs which has taken me 5 days or so in the past n there a mess to clean up. They must of came from my garden outside but i dont see any there either. Tbh im more worried about my next cycle.

I checked around again, only see in one spot, i sprayed that light. And garden outside.

Any info tho please.

since ur at roughly six weeks I would let the plants finish and clean up real well. don't spray the flowers. don't reuse the soil bc there could be eggs in it. mites don't like cold either so keeping ur grow room on the cool side will keep them from reproducing too fast...that is if u have mites...u only saw one and I'm not convinced u even have em

The problem with introducing predators at this point, and I speak from experience, is that they can be fine hunters but they take time. As a preventative, they are great, I drop a few on the plants near the indoor door regularly. But to combat a problem, you need to get them everywhere the problem exists and they only eat as much as they eat.

There are safe products to use in flower to solve problems. The ingredients are the key. Green cleaner is made of edible products; you could probably drink it without consequence. Of course, sprays introduce humidity so it is one problem treatment for a risk of something bad. Nuke em seems pretty harmless and mighty wash is something done to water, ymmv. But you cannot simply ride them out. You are right about their cycle but it is not that simple.

You don't know how long they've been there or how many are where. They are terrible things because trying to manipulate them to avoid damage is very hard, nature has built them hardily. Good luck.

But now that you have joined the world of those with spider mites, you are best off assuming that you have them always. Between predator mites and some bean plants, I have had pretty good luck coexisting with them but it took months and a change in philosophy. I keep predators stocked throughout the flower room and use sprays and the like in the longer lit places. But I never assume they are gone. I know better; they're all over the Pacific Northwest.

I second cold temps. Comb through them and kill all you can every day. Other than that keep temps low. Like 72 max and clean up after they're done

I have webs between the fingers on about 12 fan leaves so i got em. I also looked all around outside, theres webs in my hedges which ive been removing one hedge a week. Makes sense that i beought them into my room over last few weeks.

Im more concerned with my next grow. Just got new ac and more lights, my veg is packed...

I did spray the one light that i seen them on with neem and azamax, going to make bho with it. Been keeping co2 at 5000 ppm.and temps at 60 night 70 day.im going to spray ny veg again next week and then dip them before they go into flower room.

How should i clean my room? Spray walls and floor with azamax??? I usually just sweep and mop with bleach. I just sealed entire basement with indistrial rubber paintso i could hose it down if i must...

speaking from experience, if they are outside?
you will probably NEVER go completely without them
they will reinfest no matter what, assuming you don't use miticides (which you shouldn't)
On friday I am getting 50,000 predator mites (friend says these are predator mites on steroids, he has a predator-mite buisiness)
I grow outside in a shed, in the redwoods, and the mites are everywhere, like three different types.
If these predators work, i'll be shouting from the rooftops and spinning a sign on the street-corners for him

Just spraying or misting with water is supposed to slow the bastards down a bit. I had them bad one time and used a No Pest strip in the closet for a few days. It worked and smoking the buds didn't kill me, but I'd much prefer not to deal with it that way.

That reminds me that I should check my Grape Ape plant. I hate those fukkers!

the enzyme sprays like mighty wash and Dr Zymes makes dealing with spider mites the only way to go it kills them then dissolves the webs and shit they leave without harming the plants or you, this stuff dissolves powdery mildew, mold and it kills aphids, thrips or what ever is munching on your plants.

Honestly day 40 ur choices are not very good, all of the products peeps pitch never worked for me. Only product that would get rid of 2 spot spider mites for me was
Tetra-San and its not available to the public and is a chemical; you would never want to put on plants 40 days into flower.


Make sure you thoroughly clean your room and kill any and all plants you have and start over (once you harvest) or use a product like Tetra-San that is not widely available. If you have mites in your flower room there is a EXTREMELY high chance u have them in your veg room. Without killing the plants you have no way to guarantee the infestation will not come back in force once u flower again. DO NOT PUT MORE PLANTS INTO FLOWER UNTIL YOU ARE POSITIVE THEY R GONE. Once plants are flowering you will not get rid of the infestation you can only help to keep it at bay.

If you got two spot spider mites from a fellow marijuana grower (nearly guaranteed) it is likely extremely resistant to every method of killing them, it is much easier and safer to start over then try to kill them. Mites breed extremely efficiently and most of them out here in CA at least have lived through AVID/Floramite for generations and have become immune.

oh i missed the part where you said u broght them in from outside. That is much much less of a big deal!!! Most products you buy at a hydroponics store will work great against them (floramite, AVID ect) just buy one and nuke your plants with it once now and once in 1-2 weeks and u should be good. Its the ones from other growers that are the real nuisance.

No it needs to be extreme deadly levels 20000 and vented before entering. Vac those suckers just takes one day after finding them by naked eye and webs will be all over tops just dripping on the floor.

I use longipes regularly with success but it isn't perfect. I only see two spotted mites and the longipes hunt them. But not all that well, they're not awesome hunters but sized for the task, they'll work.
