Spider mites...pyrytheum or Azamax?

Been using neem oil for a month or so to keep them in check, but they are spreading....slowly, but spreading.

I have a choice between Monterey Garden Knock Down Garden spray, which is pyrytheum based, or Azamax. For those who have fought the good fight, which seems most effective? Outdoors btw

Mix a couple squirts of concentrated non-antibacterial dish soap in with your neem oil mix. I like dawn regular. I have no problems with this mix after 3-4 applications.

Most mites are immune to pyrytheum based pesticides and azamax is quite expensive.

Yeah, that's what I've been doing. Maybe part of the problem is having difficulty spraying underneath all the leaves....everything drips down on me!

Depends how bad they are..... Pyrythium bombs suck..... Dr Doom Blows... Liquid Ladybug is a joke.... Neem oil is ok..... Azamax will kill them, so will captain Jacks..... However, you need to do it then skip a day, do it again, skip a day or 2 and do it a 3rd time, because you need to kill the eggs that hatch.... Sierra (SNS) makes a product (I think its called 217) that kills mites AND eggs... best stuff out there

FORBID will do the trick with one application. Not systemic, but will translocate through the leaf, so if you don't get the bottoms no big deal.

Stupid expensive, but you can find 5-7ml on ebay for ~$20. You only need 4 DROPS for a qt of spray solution.

I used to be a licensed applicator and have never seen anything work so well. I've never needed to do a repeat application.

I asked at the hydro store, which carries mighty wash. Even tho they sell it, guy told me its meant as a leaf wash or rinse, and has no more effect on mites than spraying water on the leaves...so I dunno

I can speak for the SNS 217 Mite control.

I was given a sample bottle at the hydro store and did not think much of it. it just sat on a shelf for a month or two... I sprayed it on a container plant (sage) that I have on my patio... It had mites on it all year and i have not seem them since.

When I had spider mites indoors... i threw out my 2 worst plants and treated the others with Azatrol. That worked too. But, I was in veg. not flower.

For some reason I thought SNS 217 would be bullshit. But it totally worked. It smells VERY strong of rosemary oil.

Kinda makes sense. I've never seen a pest on Rosemary.
I wonder if it's possible to make a home-made version similar to doing a BHO extraction?
