SO my beautiful c99 has spider mites. And those little bastards are everywhere. Its in flowering and has only one week until harvest. Is there anyway to organically / naturally kill these mites off and save my plant with such little time?

Yesterday when I noticed I sprayed my tent down with a few essential oils mixed with water and am working on removing all fan leaves and lower small branches. Any help is much appreciated! First time with this problem.

If you are only a week from harvest, I suggest you either just wait a few days and cut her down, or just chop her down now and cut your losses. Now that you had mites, they will most likely keep coming back. Next time you see them, get either neem oil (google how to use it), or Plant Vitality Plus from BAC. If you want to be sure, get both and mix them both in a spray bottle. Should be enough to spray them just once, but maybe do it again after a week or two just in case you missed some eggs.

Agree with the post above I would cut, when there hanging to dry most of the mites will go to the top of the branch since its drying out. I personally wouldn't use any kind of need oil or anything if your a week away. Don't want to accidentally burn it or add chemical taste to the buds. When u chop get to cleaning out your area real well. Hopefully you catch them earlier on. If your ok with spraying leaves with just water and stuff trying to wash eggs off go ahead just don't drench your buds. Don't want mold

make sure your area is REAL clean next time around. and I know you'll examine your plants closely and more regularly in the future:)

Oh I will for sure. I'm usually always cleaning out my tents but I had been so busy these last few weeks I kinda skimpt on it a bit. Situations like these only makes ya a better grower though!

A regular maintenance such as mighty wash or flying skull nuke em and you won't even have to bother looking for them .
You could use mighty wash or nuke em now and then use a wash product to rinse dead mites and eggs away but I probably wouldn't bother myself.
afterthough, an advantage nuke em has is it's a natural fungicide so you're getting two birds stoned.

So another question. If I am to harvest soon what will happen with the spider mites? I notice how they are all on my buds. Will they stay on my buds when drying and curing or is there anything I need to do come harvest to get rid of these buggars!

I just read a great post, I'll try to find it BUT if not you try to find as well but, when the person harvested their plant the coated the string it hung on ....vegetable oil? It was SOMETHING maybe not that but it was VERY interesting imo and seemed like it worked ...I do believe where they said they got this idea was from Jorge Cervantes YT vids

spider mites hate water, because they do no breath to good after 10 minutes under water, same with me!

so take a stocking sock(borrow one from your GF)and wrap the pot with it and fill up the bathtub with RO water(joke)water and lay the plant down in there side ways...go take a smoke break...come on back and but the lady to bed.

Have you ever heard of Organibliss ? go to web and look it up you should find some relief in what you read there. I have red some real horror stories here on them litle buggers, if they are so bad you can't get rid of them in which i have seen cases here where the plant looked wrapped in cotton LOL not funny for them,, They tried everything Neem, aza, mightwash, Nothing worked for a long period they did work temporaily but they always came back eventually, now Ive seen 5 friends now that got rid of them for well its been a long time now and no infestation. it is not a very good thing but it works HOT SHOTS you can hang them or put them on the table next to the most infested ones but it will cover a good sized room and work its toxic to animals and people so if you do use one take it out of the room when working in it just to be safer, Use it for a month they will be gone and any other pests in the room, Just use with caution put it in a metal coffee can with a lid when working in room you will see results the next day but you want to keep it in for the period mentioned above to make sure you got them all the reason I mentioned organibliss is its a preventitive after you rid your room of the pests, its a bit pricey but seems to be keeping there rooms in good shape, good luck.

Was thinking about doing something like this. I saw a video of some guy who takes a hose on mist and sprays the shit out of his plant to wash most of them off. Might have to give this a try. Also read something about sticking the buds in the freezer for a couple hours to freeze and kill the mites. Probably give that a try too! Thanks for the good words

bro look up doc bud "bud washing". That method would be helpful for removing mites after chop.

If you can control the humidity in your room hose down your bitches very thoroughly with regular water. Hit em from top and bottom. This will slow down the critters long enough for you to finish. Once they are well hosed down keep good air circulation and humidity about 50% until chop.

Wash after chop and I think you will be cool.

They will die off after you cut down

I dunno but I just had a thought, Now for all you out there no comments on this one becuase I am laughing My Arse off. if you had a torch and could run past the bud quick enough maybe burn them bastards and get some satisfaction. I dunno if it will work but if u go fast enough it may work, remember its just a thought at this time never tried it but if there is water in the lady is should be able to take a amount of heat before it hurts her

Get a no pest strip, use it every 5-7 days, 3 applications. I do it at night, turn everything off seal it. The 3 treatments get the new ones that hatch.
