Spider mites.

I'm 25 stories up, have only grown from seed, and clean and sanitize regularly. Still got them. Wtf! I'm thinking cut flowers or a potted plant that was brought over duRing Easter but never came near my grow.
Anyway, tossed one plant in late flower, then sprayed with a combo of dr bronners peppermint and neem for the vegging plants. Great killer and preventative but careful with the amount of dr bronners as it can burn certain strains.
I run several strains of peppers in pots that go outside for the warm months. they go back in and share room in the grow building. Same for some citronella plants. I spray them down in the fall before they come back in - media surface and pot too! So far so good!

funny you mention those, I am surrounded by 100 foot pine trees and outside of that is pure MI farmlands and homestead gardens.
Ima gonna stop though, as I feel like I'm daring the fuckers to visit me.....

I'm stickin with the clones though, because I dont do anything special, and even daring them in the barn space /garden equip storage area proximity. Of course house plants are always suspect, but I'd never bring one of those into my home anyways and since she never heard a mite rant from me prior........ didnt even think about it.
When I ran the greenhouse 's. We had a problem with a tropical supplier out of S.Cali with insect infested plants. The old German fellow who ran it before me, loved them for the things he bought and the prices......After 2 moths of fighting mites and white flies attempting to take over the whole 10 acre complex. I changed to a supplier out of Florida. Bug problems went away! Did get some interesting lizards, some snakes and exotic spiders in place of them. I did pretty good selling the lizards and little green tree snakes at college, and the entomologist students went bonkers for the spiders and cockroach's!

When I ran the yew farm. I would put my clothes in the washer and take a shower before ever going in the grow.....Mites LOVE yew's. It was a constant battle with the site next to the Blueberry/Strawberry/Asparagus farm! The others (sites) were not so bad...Forbid worked wonders there.
