Spliff politics

there is an unspoken rule when people get together and smoke.

a lot of veteran smokers are well aware of these rules. saving greens, packing a new bowl for friends, basically all the manners that make potheads and weed smokers get along.

i have come across a few types of people, those who are really doting and give themselves for the sake of others. always saving greens, always packing new bowls, always giving what they have for the sake of enjoyment in a group.

there are others (only southern white trash guys ive come across) that never have weed, they are always broke, and they only call you because they wanna smoke, or in my case, get high and make a pass at me. (then my hubby gets out his gun--hes a sherriff, a pothead sherriff at that, haha!!!)

either way, just wanted to know your experiences, and your opinions on these matters.

I'm the giver in my group. Nobody has herb except my one friend, who never offers any up. I throw 3 nugs on the grinder and he breaks one in half and tosses it on there.

Now adays I'm tokin with some older people that throw down for blunts and whatever

thats just it. you know, to buy it, it costs a lot, consider how fast a zip goes if 5 or more friends are gathered in a night, drinking, talking, partying.

i guess some people just dont have that interpersonal mannerism that makes them a man.

You know what I hate? When I'm 100% fueling everyone's high and they talk shit to me, ever get that?

Like criticizing my moves, like bitching about how long I take to roll a joint, or pack a bowl, or grind the herb.... It's like fuck you, your getting free weed and you bitch about how fast your getting it?

I only have $400 in the bank right now, I'm jobless and a zip costs me $315 yet I'm still hooking the herb up... My friends that bum herb off me have fucking jobs.


Fuck this I'm not hooking up herb for another 2 solid weeks starting now. My sack is my sack unless you got money in the hand I'm the only one that's getting high off this shit

i just dont wanna be selfish with something as dirty as drugs, and for an illicit substance, better to keep the rain off your friends when in times of need. but u know what they say.... unlimited patience is no better than cowardice.

And I feel you on the selfish part, but when you look at it from a realistic sense it's money and I can't really be unselfish with my money especially when it's short.

I used to feel the same way, My friends would invite me over and usually never have any. They would just expect me to roll them a blunt or 2 without questioning them. But one of my friends is EXTREMELY stingy he wont pack you anything unless you ask, and even when you ask he'll pack you 3 bowls at the most or a skimpy blunt. I once had enough with him and just sat infront of him and smoked while he watched. I told him i wasnt trying to be disrespectful but it was time for him to start smoking me out like i did to him. He got the hint and began packing me a bowl here and there. He's still stingy to be completely honest, but i dont smoke him out as much as i used too. You just have to let them know in a non-confrontational kind of way, they usually get the hint.

My friend wants to chill with me tonight and ill probably chill with him and smoke the two joints I just rolled and tell him to get himself high or to learn to roll a joint

i like to share.

I'm the only person who provides the herb between me and my two roommates. However they always provide me with the food and drink after we get high. They always make sure to that I'm compensated for my weed. sometimes they pay for my food when we go out even if we didn't smoke. It works out great I grow and give and they reciprocate food to combat the munchies.

I totally understand your situation though. last week my friends and I invited a neighbor over to smoke so we could get to know each other. I packed two bowls in my vaporizer and we vaped for about 20 to 30 minutes. The entire time our neighbor was playing with his grinder in his hands as if to tell us, "I brought some weed too", however he never offered to match a bowl. I didn't mind because i'm able to provide myself with plenty of herb so being generous doesn't really tax my stash. But i thought is was weird that he led on that he would contribute but wouldn't do it unless we asked him. Then he left the second we stopped vaping. he just came got high off our weed and left right away. we all thought it was strange.

Dude i know exactly how you feel, when something becomes expected is when the line is crossed. I had to cut my roomate off for that shit, Once he said man its been over a year since i bought a sack and i have smoked everyday and then he laughed, i was like fuck thats my weed youve been smoking everyday asshole, then i cut him off, me and about 4 of our other friends havnt smoked a bowl with him since hahaha.

To avoid situations like this, my group of friends and I just rotated who would buy the next bag. We would obviously try to wait for all of us to be together to share it, but even if a couple were missing, it was cool. Basically, as long as we each pitched in, we felt that everything would balance out.
God I miss college...
It definitely helped that we lived next door to one another...
