Splitting stem

This is the first time I'm growing in ammended organic soil with organic bottle nutes and a.a.c.t.'s, and an extended veg time. I noticed this morning that my stem is splitting where I main-lined my Skunk#1. I know this can happen, it's just never happened to me, It's pretty cool that this girl is so healthy that she is just rippin like the Hulk and becoming a monster. Her highest point is still no higher than 10 inches I'd say with all the topping and training. I can't say it's a strict main-line really it's kind of a hybrid thing with the 4th and 5th node both pulled out and trained. Looks pretty good so far. The reason I'm posting is I've heard conflicting information about what to do about the tear, some say leave it alone, and others are saying you can put honey and all kinds of different shit on it. I just wanted to get a census on what to do, Leave it alone, or put something on it, and if so "what" So here's your chance to shine "What do I do?" And please don't be a smart ass here folk's I'm trying to figure out if I need to save my meds here and how so please, serious answers people, thanks everybody! Good luck, Good grow, Be safe, :peace: out.

I have had this happen a few times....I guess I'm just a little rough with my girls when I train them. I use a stretchy medical tape and wrap the area. Generally, the sticky part of the tape starts to degrade in about a month - then you end up with a thick nodule on the stem and it is stronger than ever.

I'm afraid that if you do nothing, it will rip further before it has a chance to heal. Is doesn't have to be medical tape, but I like something with a little stretch in it.
