N nbc06c Active Member May 22, 2008 #1 I have three plants that are under a 500wt spotlight in the garage with a fan blowing and they are doing ok but it seems the potting soil i use gets dried out very quickly is there a way i can make the soil from getting dry as quick?

B bfq Well-Known Member May 22, 2008 #2 yeah, take the plants out from under the cooking lights you have and use something more appropriate. a couple of 23 watt CFL's would do the plants much more good and obviously be nowhere near as hot. 4 packs of 23 watters are about $8 too.
