Sprout from roots...

So I went into the room today to see if the last lady was ready for harv and noticed one of the old pots off to the side (harvested plant a week and half ago) it had a sprout next to the side of the pot. So upon further inspection it was indeed a viable plant. I tell you this to say that I had transplanted the plant I cut into that pot NO seeds ever seen that soil. So has anyone ever heard of the roots sprouting? Some freak of nature or something?

are you sure you didn't get a few seeds in the plant you harvested ? One could have fallen into the soil and sprouted. I've never heard of shoots coming of roots.

I pulled the jar and busted a few buds open and didnt find anything. Not even a fagot seed. Will post pic in a few.

I've seen it happen. The roots have the ability to sprout new tops. If you pull a plant, but leave roots in pot some of the roots can re sprout.

More studying needs to be done on it, imagine the possibilities if you could clone from roots. You could make thousands of clones. lol

View attachment 1314362I currently have a 3 gallon dwc setup with 4 pot sites in it and had 4 plants in it..... it was getting cramped when I threw them into flower so I pulled the weakest looking 2 out with most of the roots. When I add water to the rez I pull out one of the cups that the plants were in that I pulled out, to water them... and theres still roots growing out of the bottom of the cups without plants in them. I have been wondering for the last few days if such a thing as a sprout coming up again might be possible. Ill get some pics of the plantless roots later heres one of the other 2 that I let live Ill let ya know how it turns out.

sounds like a interesting study next step if it was me would be to open soil up to see if youngone is connected to roots or free standig

1--connected worth study

2--free standing means from seed

3-- can always replant- id do it after a watering and transplant if freestanding-if connected id just cover back up

me thinks its a rouge seed but what da fuck do I know
