I have sprouts that are 4 days old in 16 oz. plastic cups. I have been watering them by just spraying them and the soil is almost dry. I wonder if I should go ahead of soak the soil until it runs out the bottom?

negative.. DO NOT soak..
just keep it moist..
get a water bottle cap..
fill it with water two times..
& water where you planted your seed..
that should be enough to keep it moist..
also, make sure you have it in a humid place..
so the soil can be at least warm..

good luck :D

I'm throwing some bagseed under a cfl in the same type soil and I'm just going to give it distilled water. Its not looknig like more than two of these sprouts are going to survive. :(

umm they dont need to be very big to transplant or are you talkin bout watering?
just make sure that you dont do it when their like small sprouts cause it can shock the plants and kill it

^ you can water regularly when they have their 3rd or 4th set of leaves..
or you can wait it out till they are about 2-3 weeks old..
if they are sprouts, water them with an inch worth of water in a cup..
water around the stem area so that they can get enough & not enough..
that helps from under & over-watering the seedling/sprouts..

^ why won't they survive?
how is your watering schedule?
& what/how many lights are you using?
pictures would help to figure out your problem with them..

Two of them have turned almsot all the way yellow/brown I think those two are toast. I been keeping the soil moist by spraying it (not spraying the stem or leaves) they are under a 600watt metal halide so they dry out pretty fast. I switched water to distilled only and most of them are looking better. I think the watetr I was using was fucked up. All look like they are gonig to recover but two.
