wey heeeyyyyy my first 2 seeds have just sprouted happy days : } ok now light cycle?? planning to go 20/4 for vegging, please put me right if anything sounds wrong or just stupid lol,but with my lights 15W LED and a CFL 5300 lumens could i put a timer on the lights say 2hrs30 on 0:30 off every day for the vegging period?? is this is a good way to do it or not??? might save lamps over heating and keep temps down :? bear in mind i'm growing in a wardrobe with only 2 plants

I would say that that light cycle won't work very good at all especially when you get to flower bc the plants will need 12 hours of continuous dark period. It can't just be 12hrs in a 24hr day but has to be 12hrs nonstop.

keep the lights CLOSE.. within a few inches or so.. your plant will be beautiful, bushy, packed with nodes, and strong stemmed.

ok cheers fella's will take advice on board ty :} just a bit wary of leaving lights on continuous for 20hrs at a time incase of fire, lamp burnout etc especially as i work full time and i'm out of house for long periods

CFLs don't get that hot.. I can handle mine even when they've been on all day.. try touching an incandescent bulb after it's been on for 30 seconds, then try touching a CFL.

ty,yeah using LED and a CFL so heat shouldnt be an issue as you say, toying with 18/6 as well, whats best for height wise?? dont want it super short but in a wardrobe i only got like 4ft spare after pot inside,of course i could always take it outta there if it does get higher

i dont think there would be to much of a difference in how tall it grows depending on 18/6 or 20/4.....
