I considered this briefly but then thought that it would be more hassle than its worth as if say you had either a leak or the water pump stopped working that could potentially burn out all the leds as I would assume the metal pipe it's self would not have enough surface area to dissipate enough heat. I was however pondering the use of something like these water blocks mounted on a low profile Heatsink as a failsafe with cxb3590s at 700ma http://m.aliexpress.com/item/32407529079.html

...in my mind i dont see aquarium... see a grow tent space off course more talled... maybe with external radiators with fans (sun powered :P)....for hot hot zones ...or summer times...(than the coil therm way... or maybe both ways radiator and coil ways...for summer and winter times...:hump:)... on this idea we reuse some hot to radiate floor zones and hot water for other uses ...and help on cold zones...or winter times...

pd... the water pumps with bateries and sun power too...:P ;)

...i know its a expensive way but i like...dreamsss only dreamsss for me...
...inspirative pic ... ehhh?... :fire:

pd1... mixed with the info on tutorial vids i posted about water cooling for pcs... and helped with arduino or similar electronic control or monitoring... industrial contactors.. sensors.. and timers way too...;)

I've had something planned, I think the 2530's and drivers I ordered got lost in the postal system.... Been a while since I ordered them.

Anyhow I had plans to fix a 12" section of 2"x.25" aluminum square tube too a 120x240mm pc radiator and a small pump. The idea has been to create a sort of 'closed loop' 'plug n play' style of light. My hold up has been the style of pump to use. A small self priming diaphragm pump would work well to push through the radiator, but I have concerns about the volume fluid it could. I have the opposite concern about small fluid transfer pumps(danner/aquarium pumps/ect). I have a pair of 120mm usb fans, if I could find a pump that would operate on 5v and transfer enough fluid I could power it all from a cell phone charger. I've seen a few here and there, but they tend to be expensive.

I have a feeling water cooling could substantially reduce the cost of setup/operation a large scale(warehouse) setup when using led's. Not so practical for the average tent grower.

I agree, for the home user water cooling would likely present more potential problems for the costs involved. But if you were talking a large scale commercial operation it would be killer.
