really my only issue with autos is the cost... i dont have room or time to breed my own seeds... so i always end up getting fem'd seeds... auto fem'd seeds are pretty expensive.. especially when you think about final yield and the fact they cant be cloned or anything...

cool grow man, I'll sub it. I could probably use some of your help along the way on my next grow too and I'm gonna be using a bunch of gen hydro nutrients as well.

glad to have you along for the grow... it should be really fun to watch.. wont be long until i get some pics up to make it interesting to read...

i mean you can clone an auto, though thae chances it will grow that long veg will be difficult but i think thats what i will try with my grow coming up, little experiment can we say?
And btw sampson i needa go get som epsom salt never used the shit where do you get it? can i got to a grocerystore or do i have to go to the grow shop?

Harware store for epson salt. They use it for water softeners. Smaller bags at Longs or Rite Aid (drug store).

epsom salt is available at any grocer or supermarket but I think you would be better off supplementing with dolomite lime if you're in soil. in hydro epsom salt would be a reasonable budget source for magnesium but some calcium / magnesium or a good micronute would be better.

like was said the grocery has epsom salt.. but if you are just looking for some sort of mag/cal type supplement you should just invest in some cal-mag or something similar...

about all the standard seeds have sprouted up and out... should only take 4 or 5 days for them to be ready for transplant...

the auto seeds were put in cubes and are working as well.. they will be a day or two behind the standard strains...

hopefully i am going to get the rest of my equipment today.. i am at least going to get everything that is in except for the mogul sockets i am waiting on... basically going to get the rest of the timer and the ebb and flow system and getting that at least set up for now..

if the moguls come today also i will have pics up this weekend.... if they dont come today.. itll be monday or tuesday.. just hold out a little longer!

picked up the rest of what i need.. minus a few timers that are still on back order... actually the ones i wanted were discontinued.. so i had to settle on some different ones..

so tomorrow is going to be a long day... ill have some pics up tho tomorrow night.. at least of how things look.. sprout pics arent that fun to look at...

gonna get a good nights sleep tonight.. gonna need all the rest i can get!

Yea man grow shops seem to be getting out of everything they have, I wass supposed to have my new lights yesterday, but now I have to wait till probly wensday. What a way to treat a 400 dollar a time spending customer. Buts its whatever gotta understand they aren't trying to screw us but just trying to get new things I guess.

ya it always sucks when you have to wait for shit.. i put 2500 cash down on my oder almost 3 weeks ago and am waiting for a couple timers... total i think i spent right about 5000 this round with the hydro store... last time i was there i spent about that much... and i still have 1 - few thousand dollar order to place with them in a few months... not to mention the constant buying of coco coir and nutes as needed and replacement parts.. you'd just think that for a business that is almost all cash based they would be a little more prepared sometimes.. but i guess thats all businesses right?




well good news guys.. i got most everything in and am about 90% of the way through the final construction..

the lights, ballasts and reflectors are up and working... the hydro system is almost completely set up.. just have a couple minor things to do.. and then i have to run a little exhaust work and im done!! i plan on finishing that out today.. should only take an hour or two... after the 7 i spent working yesterday...

so like i said i turned on the lights... had to make sure they were working.. and wow.. after a minute and they fired up and were warmed i felt like i was standing outside in the summer... not from the heat.. which wasnt being produced because they werent on long enough.. but more from the light.. it was bright as fuck.. no way there are spots that dont or wont have sick light coverage.... its nuts!

so the goal is to have pics up today/tonight for everyone... with it being football day, me and my buddy making a bunch of cookies and brownies and shit today, and the work i have left i may not get to it... but if not today i will tomorrow.. maybe ill get a video up this week sometime even... start the video log i wanted to do...

You said you used Ionic right? Can you tell me if you also use H2O2 or if you know of any compatability problems with the combination? I've run out of the starter nutes that came with my hydro setup and I've got to start thinking long term. I'm leaning toward Ionic Grow-Bloom-Boost, Grotek Pro-Silicate, H2O2 and SM-90. I've heard that the H2O2 can cause problems with some stuff. Do you know anything about it? Thanks.

h2o2 kills the micro organisms and donno about running it every time but just used it once to help out some plants affected by root rot and think it helped quite a bit.

anytime you add hydrogen peroxide it will kill all microorganisms... both beneficial and non.. so unless you really need to use it for mold or root rot or something i wouldnt recommend it... especially if you are using organic nutes... it will render them useless..

never used the ionic line... technaflora, gen hydro, working with advanced nutes and another line i cant think of the name of.. its a new company tho..

only if i need to.. usually i will run a hydrogen peroxide solution through my system prior to transplanting just to make sure its sterile... but other than that, unless i have mold/mildew issues or something like that i dont use it...






got the exhaust ran to the lights... got that flower room hydro system hooked up.. did a test run and temps should stay stable... still need to hook up the water chiller.. just need some tube for that...

transplanting the main ladies either today or tomorrow... the autos should be a day or two behind them...

as of now i dont think any of the ak48 autos are going to sprout.. maybe 1 or 2 of 5.. im pretty pissed.. ill let them go a while longer tho... the royal autos and road runners are sprouting nicely...

i took some pics.. not the best.. ill try to take some better ones when i transplant.. its easier to see the entire set up when the lights arent all the way up...

i came by a few times and this post stuck out at me. if i where you, id hit up attitude an check out a special their having, like 5 free photo senstive strains an just buy some auto flowers. i think i paid 75 total with stealth. im planing on just throwing the autos in while im veging the free ones they look like real tasty genetics. the sale is until monday the 7th though so i would jump on that.

i already got seeds bro.. thats not the problem.. i was just talking more about growing autos on a normal basis... i dont have the space to waste on pollinating a female with a male... or the space to waste trying to cull out males... my setup is made pretty much for a few large plants... so i need to start with femd seeds as it is.. but i also need that 60 day veg time i can get on them.. i could turn autos almost 2 times as fast since i dont need the veg time.. but the cost of femd autos over an extended period of time is way to high... i think that makes more sense.. or more what i meant.. i didnt even do the free offer from attitude because i dont want to waste the space on a potential male... for instance... last grow i had 1 male.. i averaged 4.4 ounces per plant.. so that 1 male cost me over 1200 dollars... if i used reg seeds, had 16 plants, and ended up with 4 males lets say, thats almost 5000 i lost... sorry... now im starting to ramble...




got all the little girls down in there beds now.. well the regular girls... waiting until tomorrow or tuesday to do the autos...

im going to try to upload the pics again.. i took 1 of the room since the girls are down.... will take another when i put the autos in their system...



well for whatever reason i still cant get anything to up load...

i have
- 4 chocolope
- 3 yumbolt47
- 5 applejack
- 4 pineapple express

nutes are at 1/4 strength... about a 600 ppm .6/.7 ec... ph 5.8 to 6.2

i used root 66, thrive alive (both came out of a free technaflora sample pack that came with the ebb and gro system), veg and micro, floralicious grow, and diamond nectar...

temps are a little warmer than what i want but thats as easy as increasing the free air intake to allow more cool air in... plus thats more co2 that can circulate...

i could tell a nice growth difference in them over night... obviously its not like they sprouted more leaves or anything.. but i could tell they took and their roots are spreading nicely...

Yes, it appears the server's drives have been write locked. perhaps they are running out of free hard disk space allocated for pictures.

that sucks... pics are what makes a journal fun... oh well.. guess you all have to use your imagination now!.. lol

all the girls in their sites already are doing well.. growth is really starting to show on them... i am going to transplant the autos over today i think... i may wait one more day...

out of the 24 royal autos i planted 23 sprouted...

both of the road runners sprouted

and i think it was 2 or maybe 3 of the ak48s that sprouted... im kinda pissed off about this... im pretty sure 2 sprouted.. a 3rd sprouted as a mutant.. and 2 didnt... oh well... anyways... ill try to upload some pics again... hopefully itll let me...
