By all means, start experimenting with organic nutrients and additives and keep comprehensive journals. Next week will be good on the Group forum, we'll have new updates everyday for you, hope to see you there, bring your pals (link is in my signature). Welcome Haze2, good growing

My people, I apologize for my absence recently. Sickness due to withdrawl (cigarettes). What a bitch to quit smoking it is, smoke more dope though ;). Anyways, I just posted on the group page with a preview of the big post tonight, a teaser if you will. Hit it up through my signature if you're lazy, the daily posts will hopefully get this group rolling nicely. Keep it real everyone, happy growing

My journal will be starting soon. I got 2 fem white widow skunks about to pop, 1 mazar afghan that has to be female (the other 4 in the pack were male), a promsing bag seed, a promising widow cindy that could go either way and soon 5 lowriders, fem, to keep me comapny. Also I got a poppy I got, a "drama queen". Lol, soon as I get widow sprout I will wirte it all out.

All organic, OMRI certified. Fox Farm soil.

ALLLLLLLright!!!!!! I have a bunch of stuff i could start making a journal out of....but for it to be complete i should start from seedling right??!! so a friend of mine just gave me a beautiful laughing buddha female, which will become my new and next mother plant along with my blue moonshine and skunk#1 ..... i just took a few clones/cuttings from it and they are in jiffy's waiting to root.... My journal will begin the first day the first laughing buddha clone makes roots.....
i just want to mention....I am a fully organic grower just one little detail which i have not found a solution to and maybe you guys can help me out.... is the rooting hormone..... I use clonex, i know its chemical but i havent found anything that works quite like it in organics..... It doesnt bother me too much though cause your only meant to use it to make cuttings root... and in my opinion i dont think it would affect the plant seen as it hasnt rooted yet... its not yet a "real plant".......
so there you go.... soon enough (less than a week) will be starting my organic growing journal for Barneys Laughing buddha....
till then
take it easy;
keep it green, in love and light

Haven't made the whole trip yet my friend, 5 days in, body is making me quite aware of what I had been putting in my lungs all these years. I just cut it and the sight of the results have kept me from going back. Best of luck to you man, I mean that

willow bark or leaves is the same think as the rooting gels on the market.

here ya go, copied form the net.

Although store bought rooting compound doesn't seem to be overly expensive, most folks don't know that it can be toxic due to the fungicide included to protect plant cuttings from disease.
Just as in humans, hormones stimulate various functions in plant growth. The first hormone discovered to cause root growth is called auxin, and the synthetic version of auxin is what we find in commercially sold compounds today.

The willow plant is a natural source of auxin. Therefore, it can be very easy to make up a fresh batch of homemade rooting compound whenever you need to plant some new cuttings.
  1. Gather a handful of willow branch tips
  2. Chop or mash into smaller pieces
  3. Fill small container with pieces
  4. Fill container with water & allow to sit overnight
  5. Remove willow pieces
  6. Dip cutting into the water, covering the stem
  7. Put cutting into your potting mix (or moist sand)
  8. Cover with a plastic bag to retain moisture
  9. After roots form, re-pot
Also, don't get rid of the willow water when you're done with your cuttings. Save it to water your plants!
If you don't have access to willow, dissolve a few aspirins in a jar of water. Aspirin is made from willow bark, so it can have the same effect as the willow water.

awesome group!

thanks for setting this up. I'm in.

I'm going organic from here on out, and am looking forward to learning from everyone and hopefully contributing as well.

i'll be using the BioBizz line of products and will experiment with the effects of different supplementary products like the Alg-a-Mic and Fish-Mix.

right on with the bio bizz. me too. I am also gonna be using super plant tonic and hopefully a little topdressing with guanos.

I might have to break down and buy some top max. I have not found a substitue for it. Maybe the spt, i think humic acid is the key.

Biobizz makes awsome products.... the alg a mic is only worth using if your using a really light soil.....(like biobizz light mix) if your using the all mix their grow schedule says u shouldnt use it..... and on the other hand.... be carefull with the fish mix... are you planning on growing indoor or out....??? i went to the grow shop the other day cause i needed a new bottle of biobizz grow... and i was looking at the fish mix thinkng maybe ii should switch or use both..... when my friend from the shop aked me "are you gonna use it on your outdoor plants?" i said no... he stepped outside the shop and opened the bottle ... i didnt even need to get close to smell that!! i nearly fell to the floor it was sooo bad! its worst than having a bucket of dead fish sitting in your living room even if the bottle is far from where you chill... youll smell it!! so watch out what u use it for and if i were you i would store it somewhere outside the house... FO REAL
So yeah i decided not to buy the fish mix... till the summer when ill be growing a few plants outdoor, on top of that its npk is a tiny bit less strong than biobizz grow.... fish mix npk - 6-2-4 while the grow is 8-2-6......
i think the fish mix might be a better compromise when you have a N deficiency in flowering..... or any troubleshooting where you would have to use vegging ferts in your flowering period... there you go
take it easy
and till then
keep it green in love and light
peace

Sorry about the extra post, but for a good replacement for topmax... i like to use atami/bcuzz bloom stimulator... its 100% organic too and certified by the skal and eko.... I heard from the main growshop here (in belgium) that around the cannabis cup period, alot of growshops run out of the bcuzz bloom stim... maybe that is one of their little secrets to boosting their flower production in the netherlands huh??.... peace

wow awesome post!

+rep for the advice.

I'll be using Bcuzz' Janeco Light-Mix indoors so the Alg-a-Mic should be handy.

LOL i took a whiff of the Fish Mix and oh my God... but i'm sure the plants will love it. I wanted to use it in combination with the Bio-Grow; which we're apparently supposed to use all the way through?

I'll definitely look into the Bcuzz Bloom Stimulator. I'm sure the products carried here are the same as in Belgium.

Thanks again!
