Stealth cab plans, need advice on lights/heat

Hey, hows everyone's day going?

Ok so I'm planning a stealth cab build. I have the materials to build a cab 60"Lx48"Hx29"D. I'm going to split it into three sections, veg, flower and what I'm calling the utility section which will be above the veg side and house the ballasts, electrical outlets, etc.. The flower side will be 36"x48"x29, 24"x36"x29 for the veg side, leaving the utility section 24"x12"x29".

I'm planning on exhausting the space with this fan/filter combo - http://www.htgsupply.com/Product-A-GrowBright-4in-Inline-Fan-&-Carbon-Filter-Combo.asp and I am planning on using a passive intake at the bottom of the cab.

I'm trying to decide if I should just go with a 400w hps in the flower side or if I could get away with 600w with that fan. If I do a 600w'er I'm thinking I would probably need a Cool Tube reflector...

What do you guys think? How much wattage can I get away with using that fan and a passive intake? Or do you think I'll need a higher powered fan to cool the space?

I have some TGA beans (JTR, Dairy Queen, and Chernobyl) I'm waiting to crack so I need to get on the ball with this thing!

you are going to need a lot more fan power in there, my grow box is 30" tall 12" wide 27" long and i have a 235cfm intake and a 235cfm exhaust and 2 112cfm circulating fans all to keep the temps close to ambient. with only 1 170cfm fan that will actually move less cfm with that filter on it your temps will be sky high you should get atleast a 400cfm 6" inline fan in my opinion. good luck on the build and post us some photos when you get started!

I am having trouble picturing your setup, as the veg and flower sections can't allow any light leaking between them, so how are you running the exhaust from both sections?

I left out that I'll have 3-4 fans in the cab too for air circulation, but I'll bump up to a 6" inline at 424cfm if you still think I'd need it.

The set up will kind of look like this.

The holes at the bottom are passive intakes, in between the veg and flower I'll go ahead and plan on putting in a small fan to help move air through the veg side to the flower side, and all of the passive intakes and the one between sides will have light traps so no light can escape or be exchanged room to room. I'll exhaust the cab at the top of the flower side. The exhaust will pull air past the light, through the filter and out the cab...

The cab will have feet or casters on the bottom too..

a 6" inline fan with 424cfm like you stated would work perfectly i think this is a better choice than the 170 cfm fan you mentioned earlier. best of luck man

Thanks man, I'll get some pictures up once I get started. I might try to film the process too. It might take a little time to purchase the lights, fans, ect.. If Xmas wasn't coming up I'd be able to get everything a lot sooner, but I'm thinking I'll start the build within in the next couple of weeks.

The flower area of my smaller cab is 48"x36"x20" so a similar size. I'm using a 4" Vortex fan hooked up to a carbon filter and 400w HPS CoolTube. I see about an 8 degree rise in temp from the ambient room temp.

One thing to keep in mind, a 6" fan is going to be quieter for pushing the same amount amount of air. If you have the space, I'd go with a 6" fan and speed controller. I have two 6" fans that are running about 65% speed in my tent and the two of them are quieter than my 4" fan running at 100% speed in my cab.
