[FONT=&quot]This is my first indoor grow and my first post on here. I’ve spent some time looking around the web for CFL grow guides and read lots about CFL type lighting.. Which doesn’t amount to shit if you haven’t tried it in theory? So here goes nothing..lol[/FONT]

[FONT=&quot]What im going to try and do is a full grow guide on what im doing and how I did it so any one interested can keep up with this over the next unknown about of time lol. So ive scouted a good location in my house which only I have real access too, it’s known as my bedroom. Because ive already built my box ahead of time before starting my journal there won’t be any building pictures. Doesn’t really matter since know two spaces are the same.. [FONT=&quot]I spent about $54 Dollars in supplies at my local Tesco not including the wood for my door panel as it was just scraps laying about my house and about 6hrs to assemble my grow area.. That includes stopping for joints along the way haha. I made all of my reflectors out of card board and stuck them to the wall using double sided foam tape. This box is built for growing 2-3 low ryder's at a later date. You get the idea.. All right [/FONT][FONT=&quot]I[/FONT][FONT=&quot] got 10 [/FONT][FONT=&quot]bag seeds[/FONT][FONT=&quot] of my local stuff which [/FONT][FONT=&quot]I[/FONT][FONT=&quot] will discuss about later after germinating and planting them.

you should ditch the foil...it creates hot spots and is a shitty reflector. flat whit paint or mylar is your best bet. You want to keep your temps low in there as well..how hot does it get?

[FONT=&quot]- Day One - Planting & Seed Talk[/FONT]

[FONT=&quot]Last night i dropped some seeds in a glass of water to soak as im not really fussed on this part. So the next morning or today i went out and got some more supplies, I was in need of some soil and pots. Now that ive got them planted and ready for growing. I ran in to a small problem which i knew about from the beginning which is.. how do i get my plants 4" or roughly that close to my lights with out moving my lights around.. So i have decided to raise the height of the plants from the ground up and can modify it slowly as time goes by or i build something else. Right now im just using boxes i had laying around as i couldnt find anything else around my house.[/FONT]

[FONT=&quot]I guess your wondering what strain i might be growing.. Well its th@i seeds from local th@iland weed. If you never seen a block of th@i weed then your SOL. I will post some pictures of some at a later time in a few days when my plants have popped. I know very little about this strain nor does anyone i have spoken too. So this is a complete first and i will check back with updates in a few days. Feel free to post comments on my project [/FONT]

Well the avg outside temp every day is 34c, the temp inside the box isnt that hot and im not real sure on temp inside the box yet. i will have to get something to take a reading in the next day or so.

I know foil aint the best, but its a start for now. Im looking around and will find something else or try that mylar stuff you was talking about.

[FONT=&quot]Still waiting for my plants to sprout and have been keeping an eye on temps and keeping it a lot cooler by opening a vent above the lights to let out a lot of the heat made by the lights. When I mixed up the pots I watered the soil first before planting and I guess I didn’t water it enough because when my lights came on today I noticed it was getting a little dry in there so I gave 150ml of water each to get the soil moist. [FONT=&quot]I just got word from my friend that our low ryder #2 10 pack has arrived and will be keen to get some of them germinated and ready to go as im mostly interested in growing them.. I have to talk with my bro about whose going to breed them for seeds,. Will keep ya posted. I sure do want grow them for smoke first. As we currently have one small low ryder 2 budding right now, she’s a cutie and really small.. Almost looks like an herb! I’ve posted a pic of the buds below.. It smells so yummy![/FONT]

- Day Three- Low Ryder #2 has Arrived!

So last night I got two of the low ryder #2 seeds and have already potted them and have left them outside to sprout. Fingers are crossed that both will shoot up I’m letting them sprout outside as I want to leave all the other pots in the grow box until I see them all popping and will toss out 2 of the th@i strain to make room for the two low ryders. In total we have 5 low ryders.. The others are being grown out doors by a friend of mine.

Also I got some better smoke which I have been waiting for 2-3weeks now and damn the minute I start growing my grow box is full up! Will have to save the seeds for another grow! I took a photo of the weed block I just got for ya.. Enjoy. I still feel like a kid waiting for Christmas morning lol.

There seems to be a problem with the timer and [/FONT][FONT=&quot]I[/FONT][FONT=&quot] might have to seek a new one, even thou that one [/FONT][FONT=&quot]isn’t[/FONT][FONT=&quot] old at all. So [/FONT][FONT=&quot]I[/FONT][FONT=&quot] will be leaving it on for a 24/0 for a week or so while [/FONT][FONT=&quot]I[/FONT][FONT=&quot] make some changes to the grow area. I opened the box up to check on the soil and to give it some water[/FONT][FONT=&quot]...[/FONT][FONT=&quot] To my [/FONT][FONT=&quot]surprise[/FONT][FONT=&quot] we have life! [/FONT][FONT=&quot]That’s[/FONT][FONT=&quot] right one of the th@i seeds has sprouted to life *grin* Check it out below. No idea how to get clear close ups[/FONT][FONT=&quot]...[/FONT]

Only 1 out of 4 sprouted so far which is pretty average. I dont see the others popping up to be honest, might be a problem with the light setup.. as im thinking 4 pots is to much. Planned on ditching 3 pots anyways to make room for the LR#2's when there ready.

Well the th@i one seems to be doing good under the 24/0 lighting right now. Theres still no signs of life from the other 3 pots.. i think its looking grim for this lot...lol. Ive also added a picture of the LR#2 baking out in the sun waiting to sprout... Hopefuly in the next few days they will be up. One of the outdoor LR#2 has sprouted. I will get a photo of them when i can

- Day Seven - LR#2 Breaking Ground!

When i went to water and check up on my th@i buddys there was still
only the one.. so i decided to dig around in the dirt and there was
nothing there so i tossed all 3 of them out. I got some boxes taking up
alot of space in there to hold them all up.. but since theres only 1 in
there right now im ripping these damn boxes out to make room for more
air flow. Now that there gone its feeling roomie in here again So i
stacked up the empty pots to keep my baby close to the lights so she
can grow strong. I got 3 lights on here 24/0 still and will keep this
up untill the low ryder moves in the next few days.

Good news is both of the low ryder 2's have sprouted up 2 out of 2
done. w00t!

- Day Eight -

Excellent news both low ryder #2s are all the way out now and are
coming along nicely.. I have moved them inside now under the lights. I
was worried about the direct sunlight temp and put them in the shade
for abit.. then thought stuff and put them inside. Im down another
light now so i only got 4.. I need to take back the sockets and get
replacements which i will do later tonight. Im also thinking of getting
some 2ft CFL but cant decide yet lol.. Problem is setting up the lights
in good spots, i need to make some sort of light rack maybe? Ive
already got pot plant towers cranking in there and its a pain in the
ass to drag them out for water and photos. Im gonna have problems with
taking daily photos for abit as im losing my camera grrrrrr! So shit i
will have to find another or its camera phone time? haha. Will get
photos of the outdoor ones when i get a chance still.. always forget
when im there haha.

Well i had a minor problem.. last night i got pretty smashed an drunk and came home and went and checked on my babys.. And shit one of the lights has fallen down and knocked one of my LR2 down and spilt shit every where.. so i made haste in my drunken attempt to fix her up as i had people around.

So when i came to life a few hours later i replanted her again and gave her some water. I was amazed at the root growth in such a small time, it really is amazing to see whats going on down stairs. I can really see the growth difference between the 2 LR2 now as Mary is alot smaller and behind since her accident. Wont have any photos till nab a camera.

Mary is still alive and recovering, no new growth on her. I dont expect it to grow for a day or so more untill it gets over its un earthing shock How ever Jane is doing very well and growing a fat stocky stem she is alittle fatter around the edges compared to the out door growing LR2s which are twice her height but there steam arnt as thick as hers.. Anyideas on this? I will have to look in to it. Buddha is doing fine, she really freaks me out the way shes growing so far but new growth is shooting threw the prong so all is good with her. Other then the light falling over and smashing the place up all is good!

Its been a few days since ive updated my grow since i been busy and couldnt be bothered really lol. Well it sucks i dont have a camera now untill the end of the month. I will have to borrow one and get photos of them all. Plants are still running on 24/0 Light still with 48hr between waterings. Temps are better now since the cooler nights have come around Mary is still alot smaller then Jane since she got tipped over And Buddha is still pronging its leaves upwards for some reason? Theres growth on the inside thou waiting for her to span out and drop them fans..

- Day Sixteen - More Power!

Well great news! I worked out the timer wasnt broken.. i was just dumb
and had it on the wrong setting lol. So i got the light cycle back to
18/6 now and hoping to get more root growth. I decided to make the trip
down my supply store today and buy more lights. I sore the growth of
the outdoor LR2 and said hoyl shit there twice the size of my babys
So now i got way more light going on them to get them growing better. I
got 2x T8 shoplights in there plus the other 2 lights socket that was
broken before.. so now i got a total of 8 lights at a total of 164w now
Now im just gonna sit back and pray for growth!

Lights right now are..

4x 23w Philips Daylight 6700k
2x 18w Philips Warm white 2700k
2x 18w Philips T8 Daylight 7000k (Shoplights)

- Day Seventeen -

Everythings looking alot better today since i doubled the light power and changed the lighting setup. I think ive increased the light by more then what it was getting before. Im really happy i got the T8's in there they are doing a nice job and i think ive increased the light the plants are getting by 250% at least.. no exact figures just me guessing. I put them inline in stead of a tripod formation since i got the shop lights in there. Plus i dont have the plants sitting on the pot plants stacked up and are safe from being knocked over. More photos coming soon.. not much to see anyways.
