stealth grow under cfl!

Oky cool that's good to hear haha I can't wait for the smoke to come, it looks like its going to be insane! But I would like to know when is it going to smell? At the moment it hardly smells like plants even haha the windowstill plant just has to start full flower now! Would be cool if it can just be finished within the next 8-10 weeks, its tough I know but can't keep going with it, its just too big haha i read about your bulbs yes! I replied on it in your thread

I have been giving her water every 3 days, about 400ml purified water with molasses, then 3days later about 400ml purified water with nutes and molasses and so the patern goes on. My question is that should I give her more water now that she's flowering? I read a lot that she will need more water when she's flowering but I'm giving her a lot at 1 time? And is this right when I water, nutes, water, nutes? She is responding well with no nute burns and producing lots of hairs?

I will be watering her in a while, that will give her about 6hours to soak up some water before her dark period.

You can see there is much more hairs now than there was a week ogo, not sure if its going as she should for the time she's been flowering?

Yea that means you're starting to get cola formation. I'm loving watching but hating hoping my buds will connect lol. Grow plant, grow! haha

Baby powder? can you get a clear up close picture or check it out with a magnifying glass? I use a 30x magnifying glass and still wish I had stronger to look at my trichomes(crystals/resin heads). You're either seeing trichomes or powdery mildew. your plants look good though, so hopefully trichomes. Get a good look and get back to us.

Your watering schedule sounds and looks like it's doing pretty good for you. If they get too dry you might want to shorten it some but it looks good. I'm thinking if it's not broke don't fix it. but you may need more later anyways. I am being told that the further you get into flowering to start feeding your nutrients stronger and get up to full strength if you're not already there. usually starting from 1/4 strength, to half, 3/4 and full. No rush on that, but you could probably start going up if you're at quarter or half.

In my opinion, your plant looks great for 3 weeks flowered.

Mine is 6 weeks and I can only really smell my buds if I touch them(I only touched one once on accident and I could smell it on my finger. Good smell. ) I think the more you're around your plants the less they will smell to you though because you'll be used to the smell. They really start to smell near the end I hear and of course after a proper curing the smell is complete.

Nono not like a bad thing I think haha it looks like crystals? What exactly do trichomes look like? Its not those hairs, they are long now, like 1cm long but on those things the white hairs are coming from there are little shiny whitish "powery" stuff, like crystals on a bud? Isn't it that? Looks pretty cool coz its on the smalll little leaves inside the buds. The temp is steady 24'C and humidity isn't high, not sure what it is but the wood I think is keeping it low and its dry in there, the cab itself I mean.

I'm already at full strength nutes now, started with 1/4 for 2 waterings so that would be 4 waterings as its water then nutes then water then nutes, then 1/2 and then full strength. She seems to be liking it. But it feels like nothing is happening now but when I look at pics a few days apart from each other I can see a big difference haha but I see what you mean with the smell, but I'm not going to her as often, then it just feels like time is standing still. But thnks man! Let's hope I can keep her happy, would not like a hermie at all so I'm making sure nothing happens to my timer so my lights and everything is steady!

Just visited the new garden centre close to work, they atleast know their stuff! Unfortunately no ff or MG or any of those, they like the nitrosol, they have a few gardeners there and they all recomend it! Some stuff I found out!

Protek - guanoflo organic grow power. -- I read somewere someday something about quana juice or whatever, is this anything like it? Basically this is a liquid fert similar to the seagrow I was using before the nitrosol..

Soil - organic indoor potting soil with bounceback and vermiculite added with very little bark. Not exactly sure what either of those 2 things are..read that kieshed was thinking about getting bounceback so that's some kind of fert, vermiculite I can propably just search for on google but I heard a lot of talks on RIU about vermiculite so I know its used for growing weed aswell haha

Trelmix trace element solution. Sounds good as it helps with trace element defficiency? Anyone heard of it? Just thinking, that I was told I might have a defficiency somewhere with my plants but I have no idea how exactly to see which element it is?


TFA combi tester - ph, moisture and light meter - R169.95 or about 20 dollars? Looks like a good kit for a fair price? Atleast around here where you usually can't find something like this

Kirchhoffs tie-d-garden moisture, light and ph tester - R110 or about 13dollars, just a cheaper option.

I read that guano stuff and be used for both veg and flowering . The soil seems fine but Reppinhigh22 told me he googled that bounceback stuff and it contains alot of horse manure that isn`t good for dope because it`s nitrogen content is too high . Too see what what defect your plant might have their are friends on here somewhere with the various problems and pictures of the problem plants to help you determine what is wrong .
Vermiculite just helps the drainage of the soil I never found it yet but I`m sure it`ll help alot because think the slow start and rigid leaves you got in the beginning of this grow might have been from the soil being a too compact .
The Ph KITS and light meters seem like a bargain I`d hook one of those things

Another day, another update! Its lights out time already for my lady in the cab, I sneaked in now to get a few pics, with the lights off though and the flash only going off when I snap a shot! So she was only exposed to 5 split second flashes by a mini LED from my phone! Well I watered her yesterday with purified water with molasses added, forgot to for about 4-5 days..but she's still fine haha

I temporarily have a thermo/hygrometer in the cab, first time I can get an accurate reading of temps and forst time I get a humidity reading! This afternoon at about 18:30 (8.5 hours into light period) the temp was 26.8'C and humidity in the cab was at 42%, would like to get it even lower, around 30%..the max temp and humidity in the last day has been 65 and 26.8'C and the minimum was 42% anf 16.8'C. I will add a bowl of uncooked rise in a few minutes to see if I can get my humidity down, otherwise I will get a little packet called "safe dry" used to keep humidy at its lowest in gunsafes and so!

One problem though..I know the yellowing of the lower leaves always happen during the end of flowering or so, but my lower leaves are basically just dying..now I don't know if this is just normal, or because the lower leaves get NO light as all the lights are above the plant or what but its weird? The top leaves look perfect and nice and green so I'm not sure..anyone know what this might be?

@kieshed - damn see the thing is its impossible to find good soil here! What else can we use?? Potting soils have bark and shit in it so its not good as it releases acids and stuff! We need to find a substitute soil dude haha oh oky I see ja that propably was my problem, low drainage, I use aqua gravel now. And it really works well, I get good runoff from it and my plants grew very good when I added that. And the cool thing about that test kit is its all in one! For R170, that's awesome! And TFA is a fairly good make, its German!

Looks good dude especially for 25 days of flower . Looks like a much faster flowering variety than Swazi . What colour hair is on your bud looks like some yellow or golden hairs are growing or are they white ? . Good bud to leave ratio even though you got mostly blue spectrum the buds seem to be fine and not too leafy it`s encouraging for my grow . The cola formation and everything looks epic got some pretty decent genetics there , is there resin forming yet bro ?

Your cab is tuned in nice 26 degrees is perfect and read that lower humidity is good for flowering . The yellow leaves could be like a nitrogen lockout or maybe the plant is rootbound . Not much you can do for those two problems at this stage or maybe it is something else . It could even be that that plant is a fast flowering variety and it`s just maturing quickly like could be a skunk variety like top 44 that has a 6 week flowering variety and that strain is one of the most popular here .

On the soil that stuff you described does sound good I was just giving you a headsup on what I was told . It don`t matter if your potting soil has a little bark in it just not so much that it sucks out all the moisture all the time becomes a mission to keep it soaked and the plant grows slowly . I just went and asked for potting soil and saw shit barky one and told the guy to get a more sandy and loamy one and now I`m testing it .

and for the single un sexed plant, id say safe bet its female, once you get a female to show its generally safe to assume any that havnt showed yet will be too. *MOST males (not all) ive had show sex 3-4 days after the 12/12 switch (indica or sativa) and most females 3 days later to almost a week or so sometimes (this DOES vary between strains)

one think i have learned, is that if the plant hasnt showed sex by a week into 12/12, chances are its female, im hoping this rings true as i have an indoor 9 days into 12/12 with no difinitive signs of sex yet

(not spouting this as FACT, just as experience, dont take it to heart and call me a liar or anything, i have NO IDEA if any science backs this or not)

Thanks dude! As for the hairs, they are mostly white but they have a golden/yellow shine to them, is this good/bad? Good to know she is doing well, I will know so much more in my next grow, can't wait! And the resin - I'm not sure what it looks like? Is it the whitish stuff forming all around the bud and the smaller leaves close to the bud? If it is then yes! It looks pretty sick! Like I said, it looks like the crystals on a dexent bud!

Cool! So this just keeps getting more and more then? It looks awesome!! The rice recipe is all over and everyone says it works, how well and till what point I don't. Know. So I skipped that and got that moisture pack I was talking about in earlier posts. Think that will do fine! Will those buds start to get fatter any time soon? Don't know, they are still thin? I hope they get fat and that they all connect to give me a noce long cola!

Shot man! Then the harvesting and curing starts and that's atleast another 4 weeks! But its worth the wait! Still have to find out how to harvest and cure correctly tho

Exactly 4 weeks flowering! Think she looks great! Only thing is the buds are not really fat?? Will they get fatter as she goes along or what should I be expecting? And can I do anything except adding things like new nutes or so coz atm I can't really..I am going to water with nutes and molasses after the post! Anyway this is more of a pic update as I finally borrowed my GF's camera which I got her! Haha I can add some good pics now, have a look.

More red 2700 k spectum will get you fatter buds cept it`s a mission to locate them here . 4 weeks isn`t long that plant looks like a mostly sativa dominant compared to the male one also the way it`s cola`s are forming .

The hair production is amazing wish we knew the exact strain but it`s also cool that it`s a random strain and we don`t know what to expect , I think it`s looking impressive already just give it time and should start doing it`s thing .
I got 7 females going now dude with most of the same 6500 k spectrum so hopefully it does work . One of my females is 5 cm tall just saw it now it`s like 6-8 weeks old like the biggest skunk hybrid but it`s so tiny with hairs .
Peace looks good next time include the windowsill`s if they starting to bud are they still gaining height and size ?

Ja I'm still looking for some 2700k cfl's higher than 20watt, I'm not going to exchange 2x65w 6400k cfl's with 2x20w 2700k cfl, better off with the 2x65w right? Haha m$an the "resin" production from last night to tonight was crazy! It was whitish all over with littlebit of the hairs getting orange/amber tips! I keep forgetting its still early and that the buds still have about atleast 4 weeks to get fat! You still think I should get more or less an ounce?

That's crazy man! Would like to see what 12/12 can do in your grow as its similar conditions to mine! I plan on putting 2 pots I have under 12/12 and maybe revegging them after about 30 days for 30 days and then going into flower again so I can veg another plant in that second 30 days.

Will try put up a pic of the windowstill girls tomorrow! They are almost my pride and joy now haha they are over 1m tall now

I added 11w warmwhite cfl in a desklamp as I have no more reflectors and a desklamp will work well! Total of 201w of cfl now

And then my windowstill girls! These ladies are making me happier everyday I see them, only 2 now as 1 was male and I chopped hom down! You can see the white haits coming out everywhere and they are getting more and more by the day
