a 68 yr old man here. i like your setup. not computer savy so hopefully you can clear my mind up. cost of your set up? that size capable of keeping 2 people happy daily? wife and i did our thing in our 30's but got away from it in early 40,s. widowed 2+ years. met with former co-worker last year .he is 37 and asked me over to meet his kids and get to know each other. after kids went nightly night, he brings out his stash and bong. hit me like a ton of bricks ( he is so clean cut and intelligent ) but i loved the feeling of the smoke. my brother let me plant a m-plant in his field last year. yielded beautiful and potent buds. said he would allow 2 plants this year. i prefer your setup better because i can keep track of it daily and the least amount of people knowing the better. bob elenbaas

I use two kits, and produce 16 ounces of dried manicured buds, once a year, for personal use.
A GROW averages 13 weeks for me. So one kit will do 4 crops a year, or 4 X 8 ounces.
a kit averages $189.......go here: www.stealthhydro.com

look at my pics and thread here:

Hi Roseman - Since you use two kits and produce 16 ounces a year, does that mean you only do one grow a year??

Thanks much,
db

In 2007 and in 2008, I did one grow in my house, one each year. I also did a grow at my brother's, at my X wife's, and at three friend's house too, on halves, i bought the nutes and taught them how to do it. I also loan out my tanks, and sort of supervise, for an ounce of choice buds.

I've just recreated the stealth hydro for just 40$, i looked at those kits a few times myself and thought they looked pretty good i'm sure you'll be able to do a reasonable personal grow but the lights they send with it are not that powerful and you will struggle to get the tight potent bud that comes with using a hps.
SH system is the bomb, buy it and don't ever look back until you get fat buds and look back and say why did I WAIT to buy this thing!

Hi guys. I've used coco for my first grow. Works great but I'm wondering if its just as easy to use pure hydro like you're discussing. I've read that its much more difficult. What do you think? thanks

Definitely build your own because stealthy hydro will rip you off man!

Sorry you had problems with them but I am a repeat customer and only have good things to say. I highly recommend them for their product & their service. Just this morning I called them because my drain valve was leaking, when I set up for my next grow yesterday. They are sending me a replacement valve free.

I see your name and wonder that if you're here to just slam SH, you're in the wrong place.

SH isnt THAT bad.. i mean i had to cover my 6 planter in duct tape because of the horrible algae.. why dont they just start using opaque bins?

If you know nothing about growing and no one to show you.. i assume youre destined to waste a hundred bucks or so to learn..

It still amazes me that RIU allows the non-stop shilling for one store when it would never allow it for others.

I 've seen a couple of people with literacy problems and could not read or follow the instructions and they had a problem with it. Some people are just not smart enough to be successful with bubbleponics.

I see plenty of threads about specific systems; hell, there's a whole sub-forum for aerogardens. I don't know where you would draw the line; if you grow using a specific system, regardless of whether you bought it from somewhere or built it yourself, you should be able to discuss it.

I personally haven't seen people going into non-bubbleponic threads shilling Stealth Hydro; it's usually the other way around - someone coming into a bubbleponic thread harping on the system. But I haven't read every thread, either.:peace:

The system SH provides is about as easy a hydro system you'll find, or so I am told. I was timid about going hydro before stepping up to the plate. I was afraid it was just too difficult. I am someone who likes to keep it laid back and chill, so I didn't want to have a bunch of stress from this new system.

Well, I am now sold. This system is cake to work with. I did my reading, and studying, and tried to learn from other people's mistakes. My plants are growing faster then I could have ever imagined, and its basically takes no effort on my part. Add some water every now and then. Check ph. Adjust lights. Change water and refill with nutes once a week. You'll love it. If you do start making mistakes, you have a place to come and ask for help. So many bubbleheads with multiple grows and tons of know how always answer you quickly. Its an awesome community to be a part of. :peace:

Just look at how many people talk bad (two) vs how many LOVE the customer service and the system (endless number). Numbers speak for themselves. :joint:

I love how people are sooooo quick rag on the SH related threads... I haven't seen any of these ppl go on a rant everytime someone mentions their brand of nutes, or ph meter, or dirt mix, or seed banks, or anything else for that matter. When they go and post on every other thread that ever mentioned a brand name product, then maybe somebody will care! Until then it sounds like bitching to me... that's just my opinion.

I'd also like to add that I built my system, using Rosemans, purps, and Diggity danks tutorials as refferences!

I've grown 5 nice crops with mine. Those who can do, those who can't bitch! Not the system for everybody or every situation but it helps people get the basics down so they can grow both as growers and as people.
