Stealth Hydro Sucks!

Hello, I ordered a stealth hydro system based on the reviews I read about it on these forums.

I just want you guys to know it is a seriously wrong move.

Basically what happened is this.

I made an order with them 2 weeks ago and receive no information. So finally I call them and find out that my order was put on back order because the lights were not in. Nice that they left me know.

I gave them a few more days and still no shipping. So I called and canceled the order.

They said that in 4 days I would see the refund in my account. Well 4 days went by and I did not see the refund. So I called again.

At which point I was told the order had already shipped and that to get a refund I would have to refuse delivery. The customer service guy became very patronizing and rude telling me that the order had already shipped and he refused to check the shipping information with fedex which would have showed him that no shipping information actually existed.

He then hung up on me.

So I had to call back and was this time told they could refund the money, but it's still not in my account. I am pretty sure I will have to fight with them to get this money back now.

I'm not blaming rollitup or anything stupid like that. But I want you guys to know that stealth hydro is a waste of your money and time. :fire:


Do you guys know any decent alternatives for a small contained hydro kit?

You are making this way too difficult, seriously.

Call your credit card company and tell them the transaction is not valid and to refund your money. Explain to them in detail all the difficulty you experienced especially the vendor hanging up on you. That is not acceptable. Also explain to the credit card company that the company needs to make the appropriate arrangements to pick up their product and that you are in now way responsible for it.

Always go through your credit card company. That's what you pay them for. Then watch your monthly statements and make sure they don't try and charge you again either for the entire amount or for the shipping costs that they were out.

I call bullshit all the time on suppliers, hidden charges, unauthorized amounts, product misrepresentation, etc and I always win. First I send the supplier an email explaining what the problem is and if they have not resolved the matter in 72 hours then I go through the credit card company.

Hi I have another idea. Would it be possible to set up some pots and use real soil in a closet with just the grow lights?

What is the advantage of hydroponics over just a regular pot and some soil?

Hey Spode.. I paid with debit card.. From my experience my bank is pretty much useless on these matters.

Are you doing this with a debit card?

Ouch! I was not aware of that. No, I never use a debit card and never plan on using one either. The credit card will always afford me some level of protection. A debit card seems like an SOL (shit out of luck) transaction.

Others might have advice on a debit card, sorry I do not.

But as a general rule of thumb always put stuff in writing with precise detail and email is an excellent start. I try to avoid phone calls because they are harder to document.

Good luck and lessons learned for the future.

ALways ordered from stealth hydro and had 1 problem.guess im lucky,Why would you say stealth hydro sucks?Cause the bubbleponics unit they made is sure helping others grow their medicine.The SERVICE is what sux..but they a samll company converting to a full hydro store..So i would demand a refund or just wait..those are your only 2 options.
Or you can look at the parts on the site and just go buy them and make your own under 80.00

I'm not going to buy anything from those assholes ever. They didn't even tell me the product I was ordering was backordered.

They made a false shipping number with fedex to even fake me out and make me think the item had been shipped already, but when I would try and view the fedex data nothing had moved at all.

They totally fucked me over dude for 300 bucks.

Dont even try to act like you wouldn't be pissed if that happened to you. I've been waiting for a refund for over a week now.

Also like I said too they were total dicks on the phone. I got no choice now but to learn to make my own rig and that pisses me off even more. I'm not handy.

These people aren't helping anybody do anything. They are trying to make a profit and in my case they seem to be trying to make the ultimate profit which is when you take someone's money and don't give them shit!

Dude if you cant make one of these systems you DONT need to be growing cause growing a succesfull crop is much harder...seriously im not the DIY type of person but i can make one with my eyes closed.
300.00..yea id be pretty angry..How did you come at them on the phone?Im sure you werent the nicest person either.were you?please correct me if im wrong but its natural to throw up defenses when you got someone persecuting you for your bad business...Ill talk with martin and see exactly how you talked to em and how they responded.

Here is what you do to get your money or product. You need to right a very detail email explaining what the problem is. Be very professional. Ask for a tracking number,tell them the problems with customer care and end the letter with this. If i do not have a reply why my money has not been refunded or a refund in 48 hours will be forced to report stealth hydropontics to the office of better business bureau (www.bbb.org) and the attorney general office once you mention the BBB someone and AG someone will get off their ass. No company in the USA wants to deal with those headaches and they alawys follow up. Dont cuss in your email nothing along those line, very professional.

Thankyou so much for that,its prolly how dude came at them..cause i never heard of them being rude to customers,thats just something you dont do unless you give em a reason

I had a small shipping problem to but i called and talked to them with some respect and it all got sorted out and i got my two bubble set ups in about two weeks.They don't Sucks maybe some of there employees but they are a good company thats just tryin to plug ppl on nice products so there shipping from bumm fuck michigan aint that great.You could of asked around before u paid for ur shit from them or made sure u found out what was in stock so this dident happen

I think that someone who is just starting to growing should start with soil.

Inexperience and hydroponics is usually a bad combo. That's a lot to learn on the fly. You should learn how to grow beautiful plants first. Then learn the ins and outs of hydro.

It's a lot less money down the drain as well if you find that you don't have a green thumb or the time to devote to it. And hydro does take a lot of attention monitoring PPM, PH, mold, bacteria, clogs, equipment failures...

yea well i aint the type to give up..i do go through moodswings but they dont last long.LOL..I wont give up what i love doing the best.Wont stop till the casket drop ya heard.

Your right about starting in soil im doin 9 outdoor in soil so i can get the hang of it then im gonna start my bubbles once i can say i got weed off the tree.

If you want a great learning device thats hydro..get an aerogarden..Teach you hydro in a hurry!I highly recommend it for newb wanting to learn.I see your ambition.Thats good.But soil and hydro is like night and day.

well acually im gonna use a 6 plant (only gonna grow 4 plants) stealth hydro bubbleponics set up witch i don't know if that's harder seem pretty hard i almost nervouse to start it lol.Im just trying to lean one step at a time and see what happens so maybe one day i can grow some fire ass meds for me and my other half.

Hell no man its not hard at all..actually the areogardden takes more attention but if you do what the bubbleheads tell ya..youll have FUN growing!Post questions in bubblehead thread and you are guaranteed to be answered!:leaf:
