stem injury, advice needed

hey there, while in the process of caring for my baby girl (high as the sky might i add), an accident occured where the branch was badly bent. Its a fairly large branch. my plant just started 12/12 yesterday and had been vegging for 6 weeks. im just wondering if the stem will repair itself (its held back straight with a rubberband attached to the injured branch and around a healthy one to keep it straight. the stem is still attached of course and the damage could be worse but i guess the question in short is: do branches that have been bent beyond regular means (so it no longer returns to its normal position when untouched) will repair itself if held back in its original place...or is it better to just cut that branch off entirely and perhaps make a clone out of it. thanks in advance...i was actually quite rattled all day yesterday when it happened...but today i saw white hairs verifying its a girl...and provided its my only plant, im pretty happy!

I can't remember the name of the process, but it involves breaking part of the inside of the stem in order to make it grow back a lot stronger. From the pictures, it seems to work. Give it like a week?

Yes the plant will repair itself it will just make a knuckle in that area, just keep the rubberband on it and give it time...

I think you are talking about supercropping, which is suppossed to make a bushier plant from bending and snaping the stems of nodes promoting more lower growth. As long as it is still attached you should be able to prop it up and it should heal itself.

I agree it will repair itself. just tape it up or keep it together some other way. a large knot should form where it was broken and will allow more rapid nutrient uptake. do it purposefully and it is indeed one form of supercropping or advanced growing. I've never had the balls to do it myself

has anybody had experience with this? i have heard of it being used to produce more buds, does this method work?

topping produces more buds - but i thought stem breaking was for improved water uptake.

i break my plants to keep them bushy and growing sideways they love it they grow really strong because of it any branches that get ahead of the rest of the canopy gets the snap and the main stem when they are about a foot tall

Doing it myself for the first time-it really helps shorten the plant and allows others to catch up, and the minor stems on the sqeezed and bent branch start to form cola stems, like in LST. They all seem to survive, no problem.

I had a stem injury and i am freaking out about it. i was lst my purple kush mother just to keep her bushy. the plant is from clone and had a very nice fork a inch or two above soil which branches into two seperate main stems. the break occured down the middle of that fork and i almost fainted. i used some dental floss and tied it together in hopes for that fork to heal. Do you think it will heal? i can get pictures and i took 5 clones immediatly after the fact in case the lady dies on me. But i tied her up and i hope her wounds heal. I was also reading about the stem damage and making knots and so do you think this accident might actually help it down the road?
