Stepping up from Fox Farm

  • Happy Halloween everyone, I have kind of a general question. Iv'e been growing for a while now and my funds are just allowing me to start getting into it a bit more, ive only been using the fox farm trio with cha ching. Its been a great product for me for me so far (never yielded under 3.5 oz per plant) but its getting to a point where it seems too basic for how much id like to venture into growing so i was curious as to what nutrient line more advanced growers would recommend coming from the fox farm trio. I want to get into using beneficial bacteria and more organic/natural products. Not completely against chemical fertz, i would just like to use as little as possible while continuing to produce big/potent buds.

I know people hate on Advanced Nutrients but I have had amazing results with them I don't buy the whole feeding regiment but I did use Sensi Grow and Bloom with a few supplements on my outdoor this year and I got my girl almost 7 feet tall in a 10 gallon smart pot who knows how big it could of got if I used a bigger smart pot... As far as supplements go used Liquid Karma and Great White with Sensi grow for veg for flowering I used Bud Candy, Sensizym, and Liquid Karma with Sensi Bloom

I've tried many soil/nute systems, including sub's super soil for over 2 years. Did foxfarm, happy frog, promix, roots... I'm currently doing roots soil with trio of biobizz nutes (no fish product). My girls are the best I've seen them in 15 years with yields > 90 grams per plant in 7 gallon pots. I know people do better, this is just the best I've done. Just saying, I'm pleased.

I started using fox farm as well and had great results with them, but I also wanted more to tweak with, I looked into many lines of nutes and have read many threads, a lot of ppl will tell you nutes are nutes and most of the time you just pay for the name and hype. I some what agree with that! I ended up going with emerald triangle humboldt countys own. I use their full line bloom, grow, micro crystal burst you name it I have it, and I have had great success with them. And their crystal burst and snow storm ultra is awesome you see results so fast. They arnt that expensive either, so look in to them.

i use the entire advabongsmilienced nutrient line upbongsmilie with all thbongsmiliee additives and my dbongsmilieank plants are so danky with whitebongsmilie frost on them that i dont get with any other nutrientsbongsmilie i should know that its the best because ive beenbongsmilie growing with many nutrients like the dyna gro and my plants are not where near my danks:eyesmoke:

as an experienced grower i reccommened bongsmilieeveryoned advanced nutrients as the proper gabongsmilieme changer so you can STEP UP your grows peace :bigjoint:

If you wanna step your level up bro don't use the 3 part and cha ching, use the 9 products that are there by fox farms. You can also add something like snowstorm and crystal burst from humboldt to spice things up.

I would really recommend using the whole line before you switch to another company.

(amazon will help lower your costs)

Fox farms is fine. I'm not sure why you want to complicate things further. the only thing you are going to do is have a lighter wallet.
your genetics and environment dictate your output. fertilizer is only one aspect and adding more bottles isn't stepping up, it's stepping down.
want to do an expensive experment? go buy all those bottles and run clones from the same strain. Your results will not be much different, perhaps even worse.

Going natural is not only better for you, and the plants, but it's cheaper as well. The reason to complicate things is a desire for better cannabis. Which everyone should strive for. Fox farm is ok though

Yup, Advanced Nutrients has some haters but anyone doing anything decently awesome has haters.

If you're looking to try AN I wouldn't suggest getting crazy and buying a ton of stuff. Get some base nutes in the pH Perfect line and the Hobbyist bundle. If that doesn't impress you, don't give them a second thought and find something better (if you can). But don't go all "more is better" and drop a ton of cash on a new brand.

Yeah, my last run I used advanced nutrients and I had awesome results. Pulled over 600g of 6 autos. Their Voodoo Juice and piranha are seriously awesome products, I'll never grow again without them. They're that good at root development and such. They actually sent me their entire line up for free this year, I won one of their contests, so I'll get to try out the whole system next time
