bump up !! really overwhelmed with all the presses out there, I have never used one and I don't want to buy something that does not suit my need. So far I am looking at either 20 ton manual or hydraulic electric. price range 1000-2000 , I want it to be solid, capable of processing a fair bit. So many USA companies are simply buying alibabas and slapping their company names on them, so I m thinking of ordering from alibaba but I want something decent. Any body with a little experience with any rosin press please let me know how they worked for you

Still can't wrap my brain on why you guys want to spend 2k+ on a simple press. Harbor freight 20 ton for 225.00, 20.00 for grade 10 hardware upgrade, 1.5 hrs build time, 380.00 for 3x5 plates or 415.00 for 4x7 plates from low temp plates. Done.

With all the money you save, you can stock up on rosin bags, parchment paper, dab tools, or a new oil rig to test your rosin with.

No welding, assemble the harbour freight, plug and play?

Sometimes I prefer to buy stuff already made vs diy because I don't have a lot of time, I decided yesterday that I wanted a rosin press lol So just looking at my options for now, hardly scratch the surface I have lots of reading to do.

I simply dont understand rosin, its so expensive and really meh imo. I mean you get laughable yields especially in contrast to other concentrates, and the only positive is theres no chance of unevaporated solvent? Im all about top notch medicine and I get that left over solvents are bad but I never have any issues.
Ive never actually had any real rosin, ive tried some "rosin" but it cant have been legit. If it was then i really dont understand it haha.

Not knocking Rosen as I never tried, I'm a BHO guy from before anyone knew what the fuck it was lol. But ya I'm thinking low return from what I've seen. The solventless product is appealing though :). I just did my first run of ISO and was pretty impressed with the quality and colour but it was a one run 20-30 second shake. What temp are you guys running the blocks at?

I do 225 for flower or kief.
.solventless rosin is exactly like bho, but no butane, no purging, pure clean rosin.

I do half the size dab of rosin vs bho to get the same med effect.
Really huh, my toes tingle when I do a dab lol. I will give it a try, I've got aluminum blocks and a press so halfway there :).

Need a pid heater. Since you have the plates, just need that, then either a machine shop to drill and tread holes, or if you have a drill press, quality bits, and knowledge, your all set.

when i do iso runs, I freeze all the material and iso for at least 24 hours, ideally 3 days. Then i put my ground up herb into a filter i have sitting in a strainer over a bowl, and pour the alcohol over, just let it run through no shakes no nothing, maybe stir a couple times at most. you will be so amazed at how much better it will be

If you are concerned about loss, as I am take your herb after and put it in a jar submerged in iso in the freezer, and every time you make a batch add the leftover herb until you have done a few and got a few jars full, then filter it and evap and use that to make canna coconut oil (youll need to add some of the good stuff too to make it stronger) but this way you get all the goodies out and arent smoking a bunch of junk. Chlorophyll is actually pretty good for you to ingest anyways as far as i know
