I know that you need to pre soak the rockwool to get the ph right before you use it

oh yeah I read that lol, I can't wait to try the rockwool out and see if it grows better than the clay pebbles and coco they aren't growing at all in that setup it really sux, I really want these suckers to take off so I can :joint: but I also want them to grow so we can get new seeds and grow them and have the knoledge to grow them...

I get the feeling that if you used rockwool with the clay pellets you will be unto a winner.. the rockwool will help them build up a good root ball and you can sit the rockwool in the pellets and they will grow well.... Good Luck with that :^)

I'm so excited, I think the main reason I'm failing right now is because we don't have any medium in with them, its just the roots in the clay pebbles and I don't think any water is spraying on the roots... maybe someone can give me some hints as to how to check in clay if the roots are getting enough water?

so I got some more pix, I put some seeds in the open containers and I got some sprouts so I must be doing something correctly lol, heres the 2 new babies, 1 old one which I want to know what I should do with it? its getting new growth and is still looking really good, the roots haven't came out the bottom yet, when does veg start, should I start it on 16/8? and when should I pinch it I know everyone has different ideas on when to pinch but do I pinch anytime after veg? or ??? and the 1 that looks like crap is getting some green in the middle and that just started, but its kinda stunted now, so what should I do with it, kill it or try to make it thrive?

Hey Stoned Diva.......they are looking Gr8..... I see you have got the hang of it...... :^D

fineally, it feels like it has taken forever to get them at this point lol, I'm fineally getting a handle on the nutes too, its not as hard as people claim it to be, I'm already slowly adding more of the bud nute so it will go into the veg cycle then I'm going to back off of the grow nute and have it go into the bud cycle

OK.......but ,,,just from my experience ,if you follow that plan,,you might have problems with nit diff as the plant progresses in bud and around the 4th or 5th week you could start losing your fan leaves..... I have tried feeding the vegg nutrients for the 1st week or so of the flower cycle,,then I start to add the bloom food.... its working well for me at the minute.... :^)

thats what I'm doing too, I'm not just zapping it into the veg cycle I'm slowly backing off one and adding more of the other so it will slowly go from seedling to veg to bud, they have already jumped up again and are thriving so well, all threes leaves are pointing up to the light, and talking about it, its just about time to plug the light in after the 8 hours of darkness, I'm so excited my first grow is going so well, even the one I transplanted from dirt is thriving extremely well, I can't wait to smoke it :D

btw right now I'm using 2 tablespoons of grow, 3 tablespoons of bud, and 3 tablespoons of micro every week, the PPM is usually around 1700 when i put more water into it when I refill every week it is around 700PPM the PH fluctuates between 5.9-6.5 which I thought was kinda neat how it fluctuates day by day, which usually eakes about 1/2 tablespoon every week, the room is usually between 70-80 degrees and the humidity is anywhere around 30-50 daily, the one with no coco on the bottom is growing bigger than any of the others which is a neat little side note.

so I just topped my plants, they are going nuts now, I don't know what changed, I have the ppm at 1700 the ph around 6.8, the water temp is 85 degrees right now, I top off with cold water and it usually climbs from there, I was wondering in a system like this is it okay to put ice cubes in it to cool the water down??? also yesterday I started the 8 hours of darkness and they just seem to be eating the darkness up, thats where I have been seeing the most growth is when they are asleep, my fan leaves are totally HUGE also on the branches and the steam there are leaves growing, is this normal? or is it something I should be concerned about? also it seems like just in the middle of my newest leaves on my smallest plant is like a yellowish green color and the tips on the lower leaves are burned is it nute burn or something else I should be concerned about?

You know you can buy a timer to plug your lights into? That way you won't have to manually turn your lights on and off everyday... Just a thought

yeah I know about them lol I use them all the time, just no money right now to buy another one, and it doing verry well with me plugging them in lol btw here's some new pix of the babies, they are getting so big

does anybody know how to make the leaves on the one go up, its like its stunted, I try to get it to stretch out a little but it stays about the same height, I'm getting to re-up the nutes and I'm gunna put a little bit more bud than grow again, its been going really good. there's 1 that's growing really bushy, 1 that's growing normal, and 1 that's kinda stunted, I'm also gunna add a bit of super thrive to the water again, I found every week and a half to two weeks adding a cap full works out great, also should I be adding some sort of fertilizer with the nutes, or is just adding the nutes fine? you would think I would need food in there as well or is that the nutes as well??? I'm also gunna take some more pix tomorrow of the babies and see what everybody thinks and maybe be able to get some ideas on how to get some better color on the stunted one.

so heres some new pictures after I topped my plants, I don't know if I did it correctly one looks like its growing bushier but the other 2 look kinda normal the leaves look a little smaller than normal, also I increased the nitrogen to hopefully get the lighter color and bad looking leaves to come to, heres some new pictures, also I just measured everything the PPM is 1900 now the PH is 5.89 the water temp was 80 deg F I'm using Flora Bloom and Flora Grow, I also put in a little bit more bloom in tonight with some micro so i'm crossing my fingers that the ones that are looking bad kick back, also is it to early to tell what kind I have? do I have to wait till they start budding? can I tell if it is Indicta or Sativa yet? anywho heres the pictures, and a picture of the room I'm growing in, also if anybody can tell me what is wrong with the 2 that I topped and aren't getting bushier, and 1 still looks a little light green in the middle
