Strain info?

Hello I am looking for some info on what to look for in certain strains and also about any info on the strains in general. I grew ChemDawg that my friend has had growing in my area for 18 years and it grew VERY well. Also I have access to any of these strains and was wondering what ones you would suggest and what you would look for to assure yourself they are the strain in question(or signs they might be*please no read the tag*)

P.S. Please don't go into detail on every strain listed or anything, I want to know out of the listed strains what you would be interested in*as in what I should be interested in*

Why dont you narrow it down to the ones you are the most interested in growing and then see if someone can give you information on a few strains.

I would certainly scratch tangerine dream off the list. It has way too many bad phenos and very very few good phenos.

You've listed twenty excellent award-winning, "classic" or otherwise notable strains there, and it would be hard to go wrong with virtually any of them.

From that list, ones I'd personally like to grow are Blue Dream, Ken's GDP, The Flav (Subcool/TGA), Afgoo, SuperSilverHaze, PlushBerry (Subcool/TGA), Bubba Kush, Master Kush, Grape Ape, La Confidential, Herojuana, but that's just me. You'd get an entirely different selection from someone else, and its also not necessarily the order I'd grow them in. Several of the other sativa-type strains including other TGA strains would make my list *IF* I know I was growing selected clone "keeper" versions, (rather than having to hunt phenos from seeds).

Northern lights is an old standby that you can't go wrong with, but I've done that one, and with those particular ones to pick from it wouldn't be near the top of my list.

Ultimately, most of this will come down to personal preference, as to grow time, quality of the high (which is subjective), plant size, yield, flavor, etc. What I like isn't necessarily the same as what you like.

Please understand that in that list, you have some strains on that list that will make short bushy plants, and ones that will make tall stretchy plants. You have ones that will take 60 days to finish, and ones that can take 90 days to finish. Some will be high yielding, some low. Some will be humidity and/or pest resistant, some not, etc. Are you growing indoors or outdoors? How much experience do you have, etc?

These things matter, and its not possible for anyone to tell you what you "should" be growing without knowing a whole bunch more.

As to how do you know if what you have is what is purported to be, in short, unless you have a lot of experience growing in general, and with the strains in question in particular, you can't. If you're acquiring clones, it comes down to provenance. . .how much do you trust the person selling them to you.

Half are at a club half are from an individual my friend got some good plants from, I have 2 years experience and it would be for outdoors. If I were to narrow it down I would chose something more of the types that you chose and actually almost every type I was talking to my girlfriend about is on your list. I honestly don't know a lot about the strains other than what I have read online - and with that I do not have personal experience with any of them(except for blue dream, and Jedi Kush which I have cuttings of)
In all if I were to chose the strains I would get it would probably be herojuana, SSH, Grape ape,Master kush, bubba kush, GDP, (i like the sound of but not sure)lemon lights, and plushberry

There are wayy too many people growing LA confidential around here and I meant to take that one off the list

out of that list if price wasn't an issue I'd go for the jack herrer as that was hands down the best weed I've smoked but I mostly think whoever grew it was a great grower cause their was a few other strains coming from the same place that where great. but that jack herrer was the best of all. but that said I don't live in calli so I haven't really smoked much of them calli strains most of the shit we get from calli is worse than the shit grown locally and when it is good from calli they just call it kush or something made up.


but I'm sure if you do a good job on just about any of them strains you should be happy.

I can't really say unless u give more info. Is this going to be for SOG or clones? I def wouldn't do Super silver haze indoors or to sell. What are your goals? More importantly , what do you like indica or sat or 50/50?


Blunt is right about the Jack Herer, Im supposed to get clones of it this week. I've done critical jack and I've heard good things about jack 47.

It will be for clones started indoor and finished outdoor(put outside in dec in a greenhouse) I am confident with my ability to grow the strains out, and I just want to know what is best

to blunt I think jack is a good one - I haven't had issues with any strain except sour D

laha I like a ind dom more but 50/50 and sativa dom are fine too idk I just like the way it grows

Of those strains listed all I have grown is Plushberry and it was worth the grow. I enjoyed it very much. Its not the most potent buzz and definitely not what I call a good yielder, but smell, taste, and buzz type are all top notch.

I would choose, in no particular order, Blue Dream, Ken's GDP, NL#1, Super Silver Haze, LA Confidential, and Jack Herer. My .02
