Strain?

I have a plant that has been growing strong all season, and when the flowering stage hit the new flowers and leave tips were dark purple. This problem has only been geting worse as more flowers come. I thought at first it might be a phospherous defieciency, but as I read about this defieciency I noticed that most say older leaves have a dark purple tint to them or that stems may be colored as well. This is not the case for my plant. So I was wondering if this is a specific strain or a defieciency? This color only appears on the newer flowere growth. All leaves are perfect except around the flowers. Plant is about 7' tall right now.

Colder flowering temperatures will induce purple coloration. If it is a purple strain leaves may turn purple instead of yellowing when flowering sucks up all them nutes. Its gonna be fine homie.

Here is another pic that is a little closer. I just hope that it is nothing to worry about.Speaking of cloning, can you clon after entering the flowering stage?

I'm no expert, but those leaves are rolling/crinkling. It looks like nute burn if there are no bug nests under the leaves making them curl. I would give them a flush. It couldn't hurt.

After you flush, wait a few days. If still experiencing probs, or if new probs arise, feed them a low N hi P-K nute.

Thats it... I gave a friend some plants last year and they all changed like that..I've checked all over and at other sites too and no one knows exactly what it is, but if it's the same as my friends, and the weed turns to shit.. and it's like a powder that can be rubbed off. What I don't get is that those plants were the same as mine..yet mine were fine and I've never had the issue ever in 6+ years of growing... Damnedest thing I've seen.... Any one with info, that would be great..

I do not feed any nute's. I did however fertilize the soil last year with a 12-12 fert for my garden that was there. Thanks for the heads up. I never thought of it being a nute burn. There are no bugs and this is only hapening on new growth since flowering started. If I flush will the flowers return to normal(if that is a problem), or will the old stay like that and the new be fine? Thanks you everyone for your feedback...

Update: I flushed with 4.5 gallons of DI water. Is that enough, How long until I know if that works?

Just wait and see, if it was nute burn it should clear up in a week or so, but only on the new growth will it look fine. I don't know what the purple is, however. It could be some sort of disease/fungus attack. It doesn't look to me like the natural purpling that's experienced in many strains. Good luck friend.

eit: a generally accepted flush ratio is 3x the volume of soil in the pot worth of water.

so what's the problem? purple can be genetic - lethal purple, purple kush, and so on cool nights during budding can sometimes cause really wild colors if the plants are healthy looking and fed well relax all is well there are lots of naturally purple strains and hybrids out there good luck

Well I have flushed the soil with DI water twice, and now I have given it some of the organic Peace of Mind all purpose 5-5-5 fert. Since I have done this the new growth seems to be doing better. I can actually see the white hairs growing up now instead of the purple nothing... All-in-all I believe that this problem, since it started when the plant started to flower, was a P defieciency. Hopefully, I may be able to harvest some buds afterall. We will see in another weak or so if the diag and treatment works out. It seems to be doing better three days after fert and flush.

I am also in the Northeast and this thing is huge and healthy. I see your pic and that is how it starts. It only gets worse my friend. I would try adding some P to the soil and see if that helps before it is toooo late. I measured the other day. It was 7'tall and 6' wide. Here is an earlier pic.
