Straining hunting for purple.

so pot is now legal and i can grow 4 plants. that being said. i wanna start strain hunting for a solid, consistent purple strain.

I would like to know what others have tried, what is most likely to give purple in somewhat warm temps, i know about the cold temps and dropping chlorophyll. Id just like to know if anyone has found a breeder that gives good results.. of course im gonna use pendant square method of gene hunting. that being said ill have to do it sets of 3 plus one to equal the 9 starters.. hoping that a single plant has purple out of 9.

Critical purple kush from seedsman was a nice dark purple, very frosty and great smoke.

Popped 4 seeds, 3 all showed purple, the 4th was a different Pheno and finished greener.

I grew that one too. its nothing compared to Purple Unicorn crosses. more green than purple, but pretty frosty.

bay 11 has some straight purple/black pheno's.

purple wookie was a nice solid lavender color with a great ceder/berry nose

but these double purple (purp unicorn x mendo purps) has been black/purple the entire grow, and the coolest the temps have been is 77, so you know its in the genetics. check them out in the bodhi thread, I think its in the 2nd to last page now i just posted a pic.

Frisan dew, I'm obsessed with this strain yet have not grown it yet.

I have a pack of Frisian Dew seeds but haven't grown any yet. I've grown the Frisian Duck which is a cross of Frisian Dew and Ducksfoot. I wasn't impressed. It did turn purple but the end product was not that great. I've grown lots of purple/colorful strains. I've found that all the color adds is prettiness and the end product isn't always that great. In fact When growing the PCK I hope for the green pheno because in my experience it's more potent and tastes better. Which is why I used the green pheno in a project I'm working on.

Nirvana OG Kush photoperiod is giving me a purple look and it turns out it's the trichomes that have the purple color. I'm not expecting anything special out of the purple color though, it's just pretty. I planted 2 OGK seeds from the same pack and both have the purple

Humholdts purple trainwreck, with a mere 10 degree difference between day n night temps. If I could make it colder at night it'd really pop but for not having to use ac or anything, is coming out fairly nice.

Looking at a few pics i feel some went purple from bad environment or cold and they would otherwise be green in a perfect grow.
