planning on growing:
jack's cleaner 2 (2 seeds)
malawi gold
haze skunk
sweet haze
sativa trans-love

columbian gold x NL5
&
buddha's sister

with malawi gold as the top male and JC2 for faster breeding. i also have 2 generations worth of gear i'm tinkering with and have come up with names as there were 2 potential lines with either sweet haze or my original super cali haze x cindy fruity booty that was a decent generic haze and fruitier than joey weed cinderella, but paled in comparison to sweet haze which was going to be fruity booty 2.0. i'll just use these working names that describe the cross until they show what they're about. fruity booty earned her fat ass name even if she doesn't wanna get cloned.

seattle girl
- sativa trans love x (C99 x A11)
candy lopez - sweet haze x (C99 x A11)
cleaning lady - jack's cleaner 2 x (C99 x A11)
jackie-o - CH9 jack x (C99 x A11)
cream jess - sour cream x (C99 x A11)
fruity cutie - fruity booty (super cali haze x C99) x (C99 x A11)
dreamgirl - thai fantasy x (C99 x A11)

i've had no luck with viability on a bunch of jack's cleaner 2, jack or sour cream beans i tested months ago, but had almost 90% viability out of the fruity booty beans. that's my pride mutt line even if it's a ruderalis. i know the sweet haze cross with 25% trippy appllo instead of pure cindy should be fruitier and trippier than fruity booty and hopefully a little less stretchy than sweet haze and which had respectable early flowering, but nothing as prolofic as fast flipping and getting down to fattening up sativa trans love. that's my preference over cinderella for flavor, buzz and flowering. it leaves C99bx and fruity booty which were reasonably fast in the dust for budding and is a more compact structure strain good for chucking pollen at trees with, without having to breed afghani out.

seattle girl's the new cinderella in town for me, and STL has a fruitier flavor than joey weed's non pineapple cindy. it's a little bit longer flowering strain, but it's compact structure and especially it's budding make it a critical plus for getting high on. that crossed with 55 day cindy apollo should be an improvement with maybe some added trippiness. i want to have beans of that when i start a flavor grow this spring. i think i'll stretch my budget to get some grape krush i'd like to mix up with ace's old timer's purple haze blackberry liquor flavor and 2x purple genetics.

for the flavor grow, i'm breaking out my last 2 buddha's sister x G13 haze, my joey weed C99 x blueberry, pineapple express, candy lopez and buddha's sister x malawi gold as that sounds better than G13 haze to me for flavor and buzz. i'll definitely use my chocolope fem. i wanted 2x lemon JC2 x malawi. we'll see what i get out of my 2 cleaner beaners. i bet there's a lot of potentially great sweet and sour phenos waiting to happen in between sour cherry BS and sweet fruity hazes. i picture plum flavors out of something there. i really wanted to get that cherry flavor hyped up by original spicy kali mist for a doctor pepper of ganja. 17 week+ KM takes it's time to speed you up.

my wish list includes: jack f7, 3rd dimension, chimera C+ (cali-o), beanho super silver haze x pure chitral kush (cherry), sour cream again for the flavor, DNA lemon skunk, and eventually, when i'm ready to take the time and space, gage green columbian gold that would really go nice with lemon skunk i bet. too bad you can't get a lemon skunk male. i'd like to see how it fares against floating on air pinecone columbian circa 1785.

was just thinking... pollen chucker would be an awesome name for a breeder.

we'll see what's viable. there will hopefully be a pic of a seattle girl male. i want to use that for my practical base or maybe third dimension, though i think TGA said that one can hermie... not a trait to breed for. i really hope the malawi lives up to it's comparisons to thai rep better than all the hazes i've had so far, durban poison & even thai hybrids. i'm not expecting miracles out of a 9-10 week (?) strain though, but that into jack's cleaner 2 can't be shabby.

i hope i have better luck with viability, but fruity booty was solid. maybe that autoflowering helped it start getting knocked up faster than other strains. it was reasonably compact too. we'll see what happens when it mutts down with better gear like cleaner 2 or jack f7. gage green's upcoming columbian herer sounds awesome. i'd love to try that one if only he'd market some. i've had issues with my malawi and NL columbian starting out mutated. maybe they suffered cold shock from a couple weeks of cold. i'd really like a jack's cleaner 2 male and female. BXing that and looking for cleaner and JTR phenos sounds interesting and that trippy warm touchy feely euphoric buzz is only about 100x better than cinderella which ain't shabby, but not usually trippy or mellow like her son apollo. i'm bummed that joey went out of biz right when i was going to order the last of his apollo and had to settle for a BX to mommarella.

what? me hold out on strain smoke reports and comparisons?! WHAT?!!! you don't know me very well! LOL there's a reason troll haters stalk me here... i seek better than their schwag and tell anyone that will listen what i've experienced.

more than once, i've bought strains or gear for freebies like blimburn orka, rokerij (fake) amnesia haze. (eh) and greenhouse super lemon haze just so i can report on it as especially if you're seeking highs, reports and comparisons are hard to come by.

i grow for head stash only! if i buy a strain a second time, you KNOW it impressed this snob!

detailed journals and 1,000 pics? um, not so much my thing, and i'm kind of put off by them from all the growers that put all of their attention into that and that cheat the reader out of an honest smoke report and the buzz should be job #1 for any fucking strain in my world! starting out on columbian gold spoiled me for sure.

i did get one good pic of fruity booty though, but pics tell you little about the taste and buzz of a strain.

super cali haze x C99.... respectable generic haze chucka boot

sativa trans-love was very similar in fruity flavor and upbeat clearheaded euphoric buzz that i just call "generic haze" as so many strains are like that, but that strain left fruity booty in the dust! when she was just starting to bud here, STL had already made respectable popcorn. that's my new breeder taking C99 's job.

i'm hoping to find something as fast as C99, but with a trippier buzz. jack's cleaner 2's buzz is fun squared, but i'm looking to try faster flowering third dimension and maybe start breeding with that. if i could go back and do it all over again, i'd have gotten a jack herer or hybrid or even apollo 11 over cinderella. it's a fun buzz, but just too clearheaded and racy for my tastes, like a mellower kali mist, but still a strain that doesn't like sitting down and and chillin'. STL x cindy apollo should prove an improvement over fruity booty for productivity, and the sweet haze x cindy apollo cross should embarrass it for quality.

fruity booty had a respectable high though, and there's always the pride that it's something i made myself for sure. i was a little bit pissed off that i didn't get the grape flavor i expected though out of the cross as SCH tasted like straight up grape juice, and JW's cindy had hints of that flavor too under halide. i was expecting something awesome as the SCH was so much tastier and authentic than the blueberry i've scored so far. that's where my name comes from actually as a nice enough generic haze high with an authentic grapes flavor is a nice combo that's better than BB in every way for me.

that's why in the future, once i have some head stash i'd like to try and knock some DJ shorts' grape krush up with some ace seeds' oldtimer's haze for a 2x purple haze hybrid that would hopefully taste more like grapes than blackberry liquor, but should be nice no matter what. haze x skunk has a nice potent high with repectable trippiness, but man that cigar wrapper with hints of ashtray flavor sucks. there's potential to improve on old schoiol stonier based G13 haze, haze skunk, NL haze, afghani (why?!) haze, critical haze and even blue dream haze using hybrids like jack herer and cindy etc. that already get you high and that can have better flavors.

in theory, malawi cleaner should be as good as haze skunk, but with a better lemony flavor and that purple haze i dream of (that would cost $300 to make! don't fuck that shit up!!!) should be an improvement too. i'm surprised no one's already done it. it seems like a logical cross to me that would cash in on the purple haze trademark even.

Hey HG,

Nice line up. But a few suggestions...

-[Col. gold x nl5] x Malawi seems like good sat dom cross.
-OT purple haze is super hard to grow, low germ ratio and very slow, maybe try OTPH x T instead?
-With the JC2s, if your after lemony, get the ace panama which is much more lemony and less hermie friendly.

Good idea with grape kush x otph; I'm currently trying to cross [Peyote Purple x Purple Haze] x Purple Haze to achieve similar results.

Also what is your experience with A11 and C99? I would like to try them in breeding so any info is apperciated.

ace panama is supposed to be more stawberry according to it's description, but i've already been recommended that strain a dozen times by another member already. red isn't my color. it's a low priority strain for me. i'm trying to get something as practical as cindy and apollo, but with trippier highs, though i've never tried anything apollo other than my last cindy apollo that i used as my male breeder that at least knocked the fuck up out of my super cali cindy fruity booty.

i wouldn't look for cindy or apollo anymore, and would go more for the hazier jack herer ancestor they were diluted from. can't wait to run my sannie's jack f7 and compare that to cleaner 2, 3rd dimension, CH9 jack & jack 33 and others.

sativa trans love is better than at least cindy by my tastes. she's too one dimensional and tweaker really much like kali mist. i'm not after a clearheaded, but uninspiring, as in cerebral and not even talking about psychoactive kind of happy peppy high, but it would have serious med use for activities, work, and even dieting or at least exercise, but i like a more well rounded buzz that doesn't amp you up and especially that has trippiness like jack's cleaner 2. get that instead of cindy or even apollo, or get ripper.

that and jack f7 should both stay in my top 5 at least a season as i give bonus points for practicality.

out of my own gear, the two sytrains i most want to actually test are the candy lopez and cream jess. that's some choice DNA up in those! i'd hop to shrink the sweet haze and speed it up a little without hurting the nice semi-haze high much and would expect cream jess to be at least a little tasty and theoretically have a much improved buzz too whatever phenos my cindy apollo male expresses.

i want to use seattle girl strictly as a male for my search to improve on the the grim gear. the high of seattle trans love is respectable, but i'm after it's budding profusion and getting a strain that's a combo of fast finishing and profuse flowering for when i really start getting around to the haze stuff.

my short list for my next grow after this one is:
jack's cleaner 2
jack f7
CH9 jack & Jack 33
3rd dimension
candy lopez x seattle gir
l or sweet haze x seattle girl
pineapple express
and/or
chocolope (lemon and chocolate doesn't sound like the best pairing though)

focusing on practical strains.

just made a grocery list that includes JC2 and third dimension, already have chocolope, the CH9 jacks, jack f7, pineapple express, and will be re-ordering DNA lemon skunk while that's back in stock for later use. i also have a blim burn orka that's supposed to be trippy and plan to add these to my next purchase
NL5 Columbian - World of Seeds (although i'm getting frustrated by poor germination on those in my old stock that's acting up across the board, especialoly with the strains i'm most eager to try... things that make you go fuckin' hmmmm)
Super Silver Haze #9 - Sensi Seeds supposedly hazier pheno of SSH from the provider of "the best herer" (?)
Martian Mean Green - DNA Genetics
Citrus - Kannabia Seeds

if i can't find something new to love in all of the new strains i'm trying... i don't know. i've been waiting on lemon skunk for months, and now that it's too late to get it started, it's back in stock. *sigh* go figure.

BUMMER! i just placed a huge order for
5 TGA Subcool Seeds Jack's Cleaner 2
5 TGA Subcool Seeds The Third Dimension
1 Sensi Seeds Silver Haze #9
2 DNA Genetics Lemon Skunk
1 DNA Genetics Martian Mean Green
1 World of Seeds Landraces Columbian Gold (25% NL#5)
1 Kannabia Seeds Citrus

only to find out mandala's 8 miles high is finally back in stock at their shop! argh! i would have dropped the third dimension to order that! i just ordered a pack of jack f7 too, so i'm not in a buying mood at the moment, but i do so miss 8 miles high and should be getting some of that by spring at the latest anyways. i forgot how fast finishing the strain is. i really want to combine that with cleaner 2. if that one's touchy feely effect and 8MH's precise body control effect stayed intact, that should be a super fun mellow happy trippy high with only a little bit of stone.

it's times like this i envy canadians a little... just grow it all eh.

just got my paperwork in the mail today, am legit, and gifted 2 cream jess to comply with my limits to a a happy provider particularly excited that they're both from seed and that are fast performing mid to motivational strains. i also gifted him a bunch of indica freebies i didn't want to distribute to the community. i guess i'll know if my selection goes over well if it becomes a keeper, or a lot of people start passing it around. i can't wait to try it myself to see if cindy gets the sour cream taste and the latter gets more of the cinderella apollo buzz. i expect it to be a fine quality mid at worst. the sour cream mother was special though... very tasty. top 5 easy tasty.

i was stunned to learn that sour cream is actually a diesel hybrid as it tasted nothing like the 1st 2 particularly greasy tasting diesels i tried. i've since tried diesels that were less "authentic tasting" and that's a good thing though i just don't like flavors in that direction even toned down.

sour cream would be something really nice to see crossed with my chocolope and even better if my cross retains the best of both strains. chocolate & cream sounds like a natural flavor cross.

i can blaze any time i want now and have the walking papers to prove it, but's it's weird taking plants in soda 12 pack boxes on the bus. they weren't skunking though. i just sexed them and was reverting them for next year starters.

things didn't turn out exactly as planned, but i have a bushy pure sweet haze that doesn't want to stretch out like it should even transplanted, a couple of thai fantasy with cindy apollo crosses i'm reverting for cloning and scrogging, a couple sweet haze with cindy apollos. a pair of sour cream crosses, a northern lights columbian that took forever to fully root and start growing, but that's gorgeous now which was actually, good news as it looked like she wasn't going to ever take off, but al i got out of my jack's cleaner 2s was males so i kept one of those along with the malwi gold, and males of the crosses above all trimmed to single tops for pollen sacking & controlled breeding including my first back crosses which should give me a shitload of phenos to sample for whatever turns out best here.

i might have a haze skunk straggler. it hasn't flashed naughty bits yet. i really wanted to experience jack's cleaner 2 again and breed to the CH9 jack that didn't take. all of the breeder seeds i started wasted away waiting months to even get my paperwork started. oh well... i have plenty of top shelf new stuff waiting for next fall where sensi seeds' haze pheno of super silver will go up against jack's cleaner 2 and sannies' jack f7 for further crossing and selecting from favorites and i will have a pack of 8 miles high again by then too for sure.

the problem is deciding which to use after that... one of my crosses, haze skunk, martian mean green, lemon skunk, giant malawi gold, probably, or chocolope. wah wah wah decisions decisions decisions! can't do 'em all boo freakin' hoo hoo hoo.

I like the TGA 3d in my 5 pack i got 3 different females they are all pretty fast and smell and taste is top notch on the only one thats flowered and trimmed the other two are on there first run of flower. First one had a killer pineapple tropical smell. The high is also pretty good well rounded not too speedy. I think you should check out the Timewreck from TGA its a resin producing beast, Great structure and yield. awsome fucken stoning a sativa with a hammer. I was thinking about crossing the Timewreck and an LA confidential DNA male if i can find one in the pack of beans i picked up in amsterdam. Any male i use tho will have to most def catch my eye. First i would start off crossing my male to something ive grown out quite a bit like my Spacebomb C99 dom plant. Might fuck the taste up a bit but if anything the LA conf will ad to the Timewreck cause the few plants of it ive done and read about lacked in smell and taste a bit so going through and finding that taste and all would be desirable unless resin contents your thing. Looking forward to seeing your work come together.

hey, thanks a lot man. nope, resin content and even extreme potency are low priorities with me with THC profiles coming first, then maybe flavor followed by potency, though it's close.

i love TGA's jack's cleaner two and expect to at least like third dimension, but i don't really want to have a pure TGA garden reshuffling the same genetics. that's one of the reasons i bought a sensi silver haze #9, so if i crossed it with the jack f7, there'd be enough reshuffling to keep "average vigor", but mixing different breeder's gear up adds totally fresh genes.

i expect that eventually, i'll gravitate to a tweaked for trippiness version of something like jack herer. sativa trans-love has a generic haze buzz at the very worst, which isn't bad, but can be grown super compact... so the new herers will be more fruity haze.... nothing wrong with that.

i'm most excited to see how sannie;s jack f7 and the theoretically equal sensi seeds' haze pheno of super silver (as their jack herer's supposed to be the best and was bred from the same exact parents as super silver, just with super silver using and indy dominant mother.

was just stopping in to update where i'm at and what i'm doing. i've been having the same old shit problems with piece of shit neighbors, just like all the trolls here's i'd love to bludgeon or maybe hold under water, and i had trouble with the 1st string starters i wanted to use plus adding extra months to get legal to curb some of the aggravation of previous efforts, and will have 6 (8 would be a nicer number, oh well) ladies to test and breed with for future efforts

1 x 75% columbian gold & 25% NL#5. her taking so long to root when i thought i'd have to chuck her like the other starts i tried to manage trying to get settled here but has since filled out gorgeously into two tops waiting for bondage. in light of winding up with one bad start and 2 male jack's cleaner 2s, this is hopefully the star of this grow

1 sweet haze i don't know WTF it is, soil content, rotating seeds before rooting, or most likely rooting too deep and late, but i've gotten a fair percentages of bad seed starts that don't seem to take properly like the columbian. you know, MAYBE i accidentally mixed some used soil in the mix or there was almost pure earthworm castings in some of it in between transportation, but this one ios a late starter too being about a foot round bush when it should be stretching like crazy (paranoid about landlord label & plant tampering, as always) that should be very nice if it's only half as good as the last one i tried which was fruitier and trippier thaqn any other generic haze i've tried so far

1 cream jess (sour cream x cindy apollo). i'm happy to see that the delicious smell and hopefully flavor of sour cream is still there a little bit and hopefully the combo gets a trippy and motivation boost for a crazy delicious strain with a nice euphoric mildly motivational buzz. no offense to DNA, sour cream is awesome if you don't mind mids, but the cindy apollo should improve the THC profile without adding much in the way of flavor competition as the pure joey cinnderella i grew under halide had a sweet slightly grqape flavor haters wanna go ballistic denying was the fruity haze joey weed pheno of C99, probably because theyonly use sodiums and squash all their terpenes and canniboids. if it tastes almost as delicious as pure sour cream, it will be my keeper mid for a wjhile just for variety. as i have a male of this, i'll do some selective pollination and create a back cross line, then, if it proves interesting enough, can start selection for a semi-stabilized (one family line instead of two reunited) stabilized with best combination of flavor and high, just like those people everyone else calls breeders. LOL

2 of my own crosses labeled fruity booty and fruity cutie. in theory, they're BOTH sweet haze x cindy apollo, but one or the other could also be (super cali haze x C99) x (cindy apollo) as there was a time when "candy lopez", the proper name for sweet haze x (C99 x A11) wasn't applied yet and the sweet haze cross was intended to be called fruity booty 2.0. oh well. the reason it's an issue is because i wanted to get away from the autoflowering aspects of sweet haze and start from scratch with superior sweet haze, but was also trying to preserve the original line for nostalgia for an unbroken mutt line. there are clear differences between the two, so i'll just let them keep their names as i alsi have a definite sweet haze cross i'm calling candy lopez. if nothing else, i'll have at least 2 phenos of something to test, or hopefully 3 of sweet haze crosses. candly lopez knocked up with jack's cleaner 2 has to be something really fun. i can't wait to get there as the JC2 is my prized male.

candy lopez
(sweet haze x cindy apollo) - probably lower yielding, but 8-9 weeks of sticky, fruity, TRIPPINESS and euphoria for sure for another step towards cash cropping hazes to combat the forces of darkness out to make everyone sleepy. the sweet and sour flavor combo of this combined with my jack's cleaner 2 male should add some fun effects to the buzz and hopefully boost over the diluted cinderella psychoactivity as well as tame some of the sweet haze strain for sort of a mother's finest for sativa lovers. we'll see what happens. i bet this crossed with the malawi gold male i'm using would be stretchy and should be under 12x weeks without doing the math, but really trippy too. bummer not being able to test mali gold yet again as forces of humanity conspire to prevent me from ever getting high again.

i'm bummed that i didn't get the jack's cleaner 2, CH9 jack, & seattle trans love starts i wanted for "fast flowering highs" to replace the OK, but not favorite C99s i started with trying to avoid any and all stone and refusing to trust in mids based on skunk #1 experience.

1 fantasy girl (thai fantasy x cindy apollo). i'm not over the top enthusiastic about this one, but it was the only other start i had anything left of after i popped a few to replenish lost stock a couple months ago. it smoked like a generic haze, similar to many strains under a halide where sweet haze was fruity, stickier and trippier than all of them, but it'll be nice to have something fast finishing with a better than C99 high around for my next generation herer attempts with different genetics. i'd like to see if maybe there's some latent psychoactivity that only comes out in late flowering just for the learning experience that maybe i misjudged it.

i'm soooooooooooooooo fucking pissed that not one of my jack's cleaner 2 or CH9 jack seeds were viable. i still say it was sabotage, just like all of the problems that co-incidentally always seem to plague whatever im most enthusiastric about at the time. i found the literal snapped off stem in a peat pellet for laughing buddha to be particularly suspicious as well as my light fixture mysteriously loosing a wingnut.

i still have 1 haze x skunk left that isn't sexing (and possibly a bit of open pollination i missed seeing a couple browned calyxes alredy trying to revert my plants). i'm thinking of just reverting it and taking a cutting if i can ever get it to flip for the REAL BREEDING SESSION next fall with jack f7, silver haze #9, jack's clear 2, the third dimension, and 8 miles high (all those numbers! WTF?!) to concentrate on THC improvement over the faster flowering i've done so far with hopefully pollen i can keep preserved without fucking neighbors getting the way of my living situation and forcing defrosts. as happened to my C99 & C99 x A11 pollen i doubt is viable anymore.

i can get a lot more accomplished if i can work out growing for another patient or two. that would help a lot in testing and pheno hunting. you can't do a lot with 6 plants at a time. if nothing else though, it helps simplify and establish priorities.

i'm sad that my current grow will be closer to mids than i wanted as pure malawi goold and genuinely trippy JC2 were supposed to be tested next to sweet haze and haze x skunk too.

the males that i have that i'll be using on the ladies are:
malawi gold
jack's cleaner 2
cream jess
(& bx)
&
candy lopez (& bx)
so there will be some THC improvement in what i have now even if i won't see it.

cinderella and autoflowering are now phased out in my grows, but i still have pure and 87.5% C99 of that in reserve. cindy sure would speed JC2 up a little if dilute it's trippiness in the process, but there are better 55 day strains out there like apollo or hopefully third dimension that makes a better base to build on

there's so much great stuff out there if you just look for it, but don't expect anyone else to grow it for you.

i'll probably be underwhelmed by fantasy girl, but also that i love it more than cash crapper fare and should have plenty of to to hopefully great stuff around until i break out the serious stuff in the fall or get around to testing blue dream, martian mean green, chocolope, jack 33, orka & G13 haze x buddha's sister etc.

at least i know what i like, and it's plenty of fun trying new candidate favorites.

as to trainwreck, i was looking into getting TH seeds' wreckage before that as sage is a legendary mid and i've been wanting to sample their gear having given all of the OGs & kushes i got in their big attitude give away and i lost the SAGE i kept by cloning it too early to root.

cloning is something i did once, but reeally need top work on, especially now with plant limits to contend with, but also for gifting as i did a couple cream jess females to stay legal.

besides all of this stuff, i have: pineapple express, full moon (uppity bitch! i mean highland thai LOL), critical auto jack (eh), blue dream (2 kinds), orka, cinderella blue, CH 9 jack & jack 33, DNA lemon skunk, martian mean green, chocolope, some stoney pine & grape tastiing bagseed, & MAYBE 1 last kali mist to test with 8 miles high, oldtimer's haze, pure columbian gold, buddha's sister, chimera C+, wreckage, grape krush, & even panama on my wishlist not counting all of the crosses i'm making & the ones i STILL haven't even gotten around to testing yet like
haze skunk x C99
sativa trans love x cindy apollo
malawi gold x cindy apollo
&
red masterkush auto x cindy apollo

that's a lot of genetics to keep a boy with a 6 plant limit busy a minute

going to pass some malawi gold x cindy apollo seeds on to the community and just came up with the perfect name for the strain as it has potential to be a really racy and paranoid, but hopefully 10 week or faster trippy strain based on cinderella impregnating an african sativa...

JUNGLE FEVER!

it's also a quiet tribute to the late afropips who's responsible for preserving this strain as far as i know, and sounds better than "astropips". it's a really catchy name if i do say so, and i do. besides, it's a holy smokes malawi and disservice to them to credit someone else for them continuing to preserve the genes.

if i ever run into anyone blazing cream jess or jungle fever, i will at first laugh, then i will request a sample to verfy. got that freeware by proxy thing going on now with my tinkerings. i've contributed something to the great gene pool that others will sample and hopefully enjoy.

My 3d wasnt really pina colada flavored just pretty much pineapple. Its fast too it finishes from week 7 to 8 depending on what kinda stoning your looking for. I know theres lots of nice phenos to contemplate breeding projects in the TGA stuff. really wanna see some pics of what you make tho when you get them growing.

yeah, i'm not exactly the most photo intensive grower out there for sure, but as i intend to make this my most successful grow ever, if not the one with the best strains ever, i should document it some.

the biggest improvement in this grow should be taking a nice long vege to fill my screens up. i hate that it's so late in the year to get situated, but i'm not taking the same shorts i did last year to knock the grow out before summer

i'm trying to flip everything back besides the really slow starting sweet haze and hopefully columbian that should be the stars of the show besides my own pride gear, though my sour cream cindy apollos are already showing resin. it sucks that my camera refuses to focus on macro. it won't manually focus either like it has a virus that tells it to blur anything close. it has the range to do it, but just refuses to. it won't lock in manual focus mode even. maybe i'll look into getting a cheap camera just for closeups. a 4mp one should be under $100 easy by now. then i can do those tripod glory shots i wanted to take of sexy looking LSD.

getting ready to transplant my girls having just sorted through a batch of live earthworm castings i'm mixing in with each of their soils along with a vegan fert and other goodies. that's going to be another improvement hopefully, using live soils. i transplanted all of the worms i could into a pot of commercial soil along with some of their castings for live activity and some stale bread for them to start composting. the casting are NOTHING like that dried commercial crap! very rich and alive. i hope it makes my girls very happy, and i intend to use the new tech i learn of breaking transplant rootballs up instead of just scuffing the outer layer of the rootballs and hitting them up with rootone powder. i have a new chemical that's better for cloning and rooting i'll be using too.

i figure if i just let my starter worms go to town on leftover and used soil along with vegan scraps in a plastic tub, i should have a much better soil by fall and more earthworms than i know what to do with.

cultivating soil is a nice new addition to the meditation of growing and the really best way to get ones hands dirty so to speak, or "into soil" in farmspeak. getting rid of as much of the old soil as possible when transplanting should help with flavor at least a little i hope and make the plants even happier, especially with that chemical that should make them root like crazy.

i'll make some name tags up for a group pic before i start tying them all down.

between the bushy as fuck just starting to root properly pure sweet haze i'll be growing and the two cindy apollo crosses alongside it, i probably won't have the best yield and the thai fantasy cross i'll be testing too just for fun is stretchy too. i should have a lot of fruity generic haze at worst, but i hope my second sweet haze gal is as special as her predecessor for that very respectable haze high. it will be nice to see first hand too just what happens to one strain when you mix it with another exactly.... how much the flavors and THC profiles in particular change. the 75% sweet haze i intend to make should be pretty freakin' nice for a 9 week fruity haze if the cindy apollo does anything to bulk the sweet haze up like pure cindy did super cali haze, whose flavor seemed watered down grown in sodium, but that could be the light's fault.

if i didn't update yet, i'm really happy that my sour cream cross has some of that sexy odor in early flower that's probably weed diluted. i hope that my pride in cream jess bears out with something that easily embarrasses skunk #1, blueberry and masterkush etc. in both flavor and buzz. blueberry might win the flavor game though when sour cream's at 50% strength, but not 100%, not in any really mild tasting blueberry i've tried so far, but i might have gotten popcorn both times there.

what the sour cream cross can't match blueberry for in flavor, IF it can't that is, the sweet haze crosses should get in the fruity flavor ballpark and kock it out with a motiviational euphoric high with at least traces of trippiness blueberry wishes it had, but many like stone and that's their biz.

i REALLY wanted to marry sweet haze to the seattle girl cross for something even fruitier, hazier, and even more compact than pure cindy apollo with that explosive budding i have deep respect towards STL & john sinclair for. that should have made a 9 week strain way more productive than pure sweet haze with much of it's traits showing in the other side of the hybrid too. oh well, maybe next time.

the real fun will be next fall when i drop the jacks, silver & 8 miles high along with maybe my columbian x jack's cleaner 2 hybrid if their sexy looking columbian is any kind of match to haze skunk as it should be in theory and kick ass in it's own right. if nothing else, i will be re-uniting with my favorite genetics ever for further mutting up and customizing. 75% of my favorite strain ever (if it's anything like the gold i started out on) crossed with my current all around favorite strain should not be shabby, and possibly the direction i take my jacks into away from tired old haze genes. some pure gage green columbian would be the best, or even the more well rounded columbian black he prefers, but those are 15 week + vs WoS' 12 weeks or less i think columbian.

i REALLY wanted to be working jack's cleaner 2, CH9 jack, seattle girl, malawi gold (i have a naughty male though), & haze x skunk this time around, but what i have should be above average at worst easily for those that like getting high best.

spent the day getting soil and mixing. i like this batch of soil. it's a mix of clumpy black topsoil with sphagnum & fines that i blended along with half a gallon of fresh earthworm castings, vegan ferts, handy old pearlite and vermiculite i was going to use for shroomery actually, but i'll have plenty of that topsoil down the road where everything's bark fines, and it'll be even better next winter once i introduce it to my live soil culture that's the next best thing to composting, and i can't wait to start adding lots of organic vegan scraps like some fresh carrots yesterday, lots of variety & stuff that should make happy worms.

the topsoil was almost as bad as clay until i used a handy hydroponic inner mesh post to use as a sifter and sorted out over a gallon of rocks & sticks as well as aerated the crap out of it & mixing, remixing, rolling the bins and just getting my hands up in that dirt for a couple hours. the peat soil i mixed in tonight might have had some small amounts of chicken coop scrap too, so the base mix is at least varied with fresh organics, proper drainage & retention and a perfectly balanced soil that just barely clumps, but crumbles like real soil should and bark fines don't. i'd REALLY like to compost the crap out of bark fines and use them then if only i had a yard, but earthworm composting is cool too, and even gives me pets i can release in the wild and not have to worry about.

my gals are all transplanted, a little late, but they should be switched back to vedge by now, though some are acting like they still want to flower, and my cream jess are smelling fruity & weedy, but that might just mean they're reverted.

i was surprised that the sweet haze that took it's time getting started had only sent one or two threads of roots to the bottom of the 1.5 gallon i transplanted her to a month or two ago. hopelly that chemical that can be used for cloning and foliar will stimulate rooting in all the gals.

instead of scuffing the outer layers of the root balls when i transplanted, i rinsed the rootballs out at least half way each, squeeze drained them, maybe damaging some roots and hopefully further stimulating repair & new growth. then, i soaked the first one that i'd cleaned almost all of the soil out of (new idea to me, worth a try as suggested) in the liquid as i prepped the bottoms of all of my pot pots and squeeze dried it a second time packing it in dry soil that should wick any excess away with enough concentrate to stimulate rooting.

this is all new tech to me except the basic soil mix which is nostalgic for me as it's like the first soil i mixed for my mid 90s bagseed collection, only sphagnum was no more than 1/4 of the mix, and i had manure in the mix... something much better fully composted i'm sure. i'll be mixing molasses in with y watering routine that's going to start with a butterknife dip or two worth of liquid kelp stirred in a gallon of water to wet the new soil and further stimulate rooting and add the new jack tech i didn't use in my first grow attempts. liquid kelp, grow & bloom and a really nice dry fert i bet was partly responsible for some of the nice fruit i got out of my sodium last winter.

it's taking forever to get to flowering, but i've learned from a lot of mistakes to get here. i'll have to take a pic of the gals in their new digs once they settle in.

with almost as many scrawny neglected bahelors i gotta bag and flip waiting to knock them all op pnce the ones i had to sex stop trying to top cola and start making new nodes again.

i''m worried their might have been some open pollination already as some pistils are already brown, but sinsimellia isn't necessary and hopefully i'll have new fresh budding sites to do proper controlled pollination on when i get to the lowering stage i'm trying to get out of now.

if nothing else, the columbian and sweet haze are full vedge and clonable to keep them around for next fall, though i bought another gold fem when i thought this slowpoke rodriguez wasn't ever going to grow up.

1 pure sweet haze, 2 cindy apollo crosses & a fruity generic haze thai hybrid ought to give me something like hazey grapes harvest, but i wanted to get into jacks. wah wah wah. i guess i'll just open my door and trow everything out.

pics soon, for sure! if nothing else, i need some STFU to beat the haters over the head with. making a sign even. went to the art store and got some stick on letters so it even looks all professional like.
