Strange new bud growth...

Okay, I'm in week 9 of flower and plan on harvest in 2-3 days. My buds look great and are quite fat, but the past week it seems all the added growth occuring it right on top of every bud. I have 1.5 inch of bud barely bigger than a pencil (just enough to cover the stem with resin sacks and red hair) on the top of both of my colas. What in the world could be causing this skinny upward growth? Until now, all the buds have filled out after only a little upward groth... This just looks weird.

This is all on one topped plant by the way, so both colas have an extra inch and a half of skinny ass stem and bud.

lots of strains have buds that foxtail

should I expect the foxtails to bulk up, or should I stay on schedule ya think?

they shoult bulk up some but most the growth goes to the center of the bud

Roseman had some growth on his buds that was eventually chalked up to too much light, I think.

im pretty sure it means your ready to go, mine tend to do that when they've flowered for too long

maybe too close? I don't know...I read it that thread somewhere a week ago.

I think wvguy is right, I have likely flowered too long. This is bagseed and 70% of the hairs i can see are red. I have no microscope yet simply because I'm broke. It's week 9 going on 10 of flower.. I'll give them the chop. I need to soon anyway.

yeah most high thc strains dont even tak ethat long to finish and when your tri chromes are cloudy to amber is the best time you should be able to see that with a mag glass. and like sticky said you can never have too much light
