yeah that was some good advice at least on the tap water part the ro water is so expensive after awhile i just realy thought i was supposed to use it. I saw the Sweet product at the local shop and was told it was good. I will clean the rez very well although my system is running like a champ it is probally better to replace it. So if i just switched to like tap water and made my solution for the rez and let it bubble for like 48 hours before i feed with it it should be ok? even though for the last two months iv'e been feeding ro or distilled?
what should the ideal ppm be after adding flowering nutes like cha-ching from foxfarm or big bloom after using tap water with ? The other note on the hydrogen peroxide? can i use regular store bought hydrogen or do i need the 30% solution that i see at the hydro store? I jsut checked the local tap and it is7.03 PH and 225 PPM if i adjust the PH this water can be used with no problems?
You're missing the point, but it's cool.
The point is not that they've been drinking nicely for a couple of months... The point now, is that you messed up the reservoir with the freakin' molasses. You're not supposed to put molasses in hydro, only soil. I think I've read that like 8 times. I'm not jumping on you, just ... hey... let's stay on point.
Clean reservoir, is the best advice of my post, not whether you use tap water or RO water... Get that molasses gunky shit outta there. And quick! And I would just check the pH of the water coming out of your tap and go from there. I got lucky, my water is the 'tits'... You may have to pH up or down it, but that's cake eh...
Not sure on the PPM/pH... I never check mine. Just change the res out every 5 days (I recycle the old nute solution outdoors on my 'other' plants)... and mine are jumping. (check out my grow for pics).
And remember, if you introduce Sweet, or any other organic NUTRIENT or CATALYST solution you shouldn't use H202. I've never used H202 so I can't answer that.
I'm using, straight well water, which is near perfect coming out of the hose... with Botanicare's PureBlendPro & Liquid Karma, and GH's FloralNectar & Diamond Nectar. All Organic, and I don't check anything but the water level.
P.S. - I can also suggest going to the DWC Hydro section of this forum... Finding the 'Stealth Hydroponics' thread by ROSEMAN and start on page 1. I read from page 1 to about page four hundred something and learned more from that post than any other jibberish I've come across. Roseman is king, knows his plants man. Trust me. Get to the page about the '8-step recovery process' and you'll see what I'm talking about. Works like a charm for me.
