Streching

Stop complaining about streched plants, I ran an experiment with one streched plant.

I streched the plant, by putting the light far away, I made it 4 feet, then I flowered it it with a mixed spectrum of MH and HPS. (CFL's could be used)

And it's filling up nicely, Getting thick and secondary fan leaves are taking over. It's buds are 3 inches 3 weeks, biggest in the grow.

Trunk is starting to tree also.

what is the distance between your nodes? Probably not that great. The point is to keep the plant more compact. Closer distance between internodes will give you more bud sites per whatever height your plant is.

Which also means you can potentially grow the same amount of bud in a smaller space. My grow takes up enough of my space and time as it is.

yeah, i agree with space. The node space is like 7 inches apart and the buds are filling in, like littlt bud brances. But yeah, it was a bitch adjusting lights.

And how much are you harvesting off that plant cause I can get a 1'x1' plant to harvest over two zips after I throw it in flower which results in about 6 or so main buds that reach 8-10 inches in length.

Basically you could probably have had the same results if you had trimmed and pruned for maximum yield.

If you are only three weeks in and your shit is staked you must have stretched that bitch hard.

I got my soil really alive with organics, I got 20 females under 1000 watts of mixed lights. I'm using propane for CO2 and I didn't top
because it's definitely SOG and i focused on trimming wild leaves. lollipoped a few and hopeing to get a o a piece. I know 20 females is a lot, but i over plant when dealing with unkwown bag seeds. chopped down 19 males and 7 hermies.

that isn't really over planting for your area unless you let them stretch. Do you have a cool tube? You can run an intake to your lights to a outlet to remove heat from your lights without tossing out all the co2 you are paying for getting the light rather close to the plant.

heat is welcome in my city, when the lights are on, it just a comfortable room.

Yeah probably is about the same where I am at but I still like to get my 600s about 6-12" away from my buds if possible and that means the bulbs heat is a little excessive. I allow my cool tube to displace the heat throughout my room rather then evacuate it.

In summer it is another story though.

In the summer I'm outside, if anything is on in the house it's CFLs.
